Lots of interesting things to look at, plenty to make the children stop and think about how people used to look & dress. More suited for older children 6+ I'd say. Very helpful and friendly staff.

The museum is great doesn't look worth a visit till you get inside and you'll love it, I stayed at the Palm court hotel and they had tickets which allow 2 for 1. Great afternoon

A fantastic morning! Museum looks small from the outside but is surprisingly big inside & packed full of weird & wonderful items - including 40 yr old wedding cake, shrunken tribal head & preserved 2 headed kitten!! Some really interesting collections of bats, butterflies, spiders all in pull out drawers & displays of war artefacts, local great fires, old printing, Victoriana. The children's trails were great & the staff were so kind & helpful. We had a lovely time looking round, will definitely visit again :)

Loved everything about it, very quirky and quaint. The day we went was a free admittance but we enjoyed our look around and left a donation. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Not very big but certainly packed with loads of bits and pieces. Even if you have to pay admission it is worth it. We spent nearly two hours looking.

This museum is a treasure trove of mechanical, electronic, electric stuff, curiosities from the past. Well worth a visit.
