“Great Breakfast”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

We rode our push bikes from Plymouth to Ilfracoombe and the next day we were looking for a BIG breakfast. Found it here, with a friendly welcome and flexibility, swapping various bits for others. Thoroughly recommended!

“Great breakfast to fuel us on our way home from a great weekend in Ilfracombe.”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

We decided to look for a cafe in Ilfracombe to get a more substantial breakfast than the one offered at our weekend accommodation. We weren't disappointed.

The team were very friendly and, having identified us as part of the Round Table invasion of the town for National Sporting Weekend, they immediately offered us 20% discount. We were already going to eat, so it was a generous offer gratefully received.

Throughout our visit our hosts were friendly and attentive. They really made us feel welcome.

The breakfast (we all went for the 'Big Mick') was great; quality ingredients well presented.

Apparently, Mick was off sailing, but we were well looked after by Jill and her team.

Thank you.

The Round Table weekend was a great advert for us and North Devon, so glad you enjoyed our food even though Chef was away on a jolly. Best Wishes for your event in 2014, we will send all our hearty breakfast eaters to Andover

“Great pasties - friendly service”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

An excellent place to stop off for a cup of tea and a meal after a strenuous walk along the North Devon Coastal Path. The home-made Devon pasties are really good and the service is excellent - the friendliest restaurant we've used for years. We'll be back for cream teas next time we're in Ilfracombe. Many thanks. B and J.

We are the only café here who make their own pasties using local beef and vegetables. Mick really enjoys making pastry and I am allowed to glaze them now!! 6 years of training! Our friend Linda at Church Farm makes our Clotted Cream so hope you will enjoy that too soon.

“Excellent food, Wonderful People, Great Hospitality”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

Visiting this restaurant was great (German family, two kids, 8 and 11). We enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere and the excellent food and Jill Cockram was a wonderful trip guide too and was very helpful when we asked questions about where to go, where to park our car, etc. We felt like visiting a friend. Thank you for everything, we will never forget The Manor House Cafe.

We really enjoyed your family's visit to North Devon too, especially as you had come so far. It is not often we do Cream Teas for breakfast but before all your kyaking it kept you going. Hope the girls found the M&M shop in Leicester Square and Harry Potter. Best wishes Jill and Mick
