“Friendly welcome awaits @ Mullacott Farm”

A very warm Welcome awaits, lovely clean room with little extras such as cotton buds, nail bush and even Play Dough for that rainy day.
All staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and were very accommodating with my dietary needs. Breakfast was delicious and a really good start to the day.
with ducks, horses, chickens, pigs and alpacas on site there is plenty to keep youngsters amused.
In an ideal location between Ilfracombe and Woolacombe...both locations offering a good choice of eateries. Lots of beautiful walks available, coastal and countryside.
Thoroughly enjoyed our week away and would recommend to anyone.

We stayed here for one night prior to our trip to Lundy island. We were welcomed by a very friendly member of staff who organised our early breakfast in time for departure and our parking for the duration of our stay. The parking seemed to be fairly secure and we had no worries about leaving our car there for 3 days. We were given the details of a taxi firm who are frequently used by travellers to Lundy and left to settle in.

There is a fridge with a small freezer compartment in the hallway, this was very useful for keeping our picnic cool for the next day! The room was very large, probably intended for a couple with young children as it had one double bed and two singles. The beds didn't seem crammed in and the room felt spacious and light. The window gave us a beautiful view over the surrounding countryside. The bed was very comfortable indeed and everything in the room was very clean, dust free and tidy.

The room was equipped with tea and coffee making facilities with an extensive selection of tea bags to choose from. Shower gel, soap, tissues, cotton buds, nappy disposal bags andcotton wool balls were also provided. The towels were lovely and soft, two bath sheets, two hand towels and two flannels were provided.

The farm is situated close to Woolacombe and Ilfracombe, only a short drive and there is ample car parking.

We had a brilliant night's sleep and woke to a lovely breakfast. The continental breakfast included fresh jam and marmalade on each table along with a larger selection of jars to suit any tastes. The yoghurts were Yeo Valley and were delicious and creamy. Grapefruit and prunes were also available alongside fresh fruits. Several of the other customers had large, full english breakfasts and seemed to really enjoy them. I had beans on toast, which was delicious and my fiance chose two boiled eggs, which were enormous, and toast. The lady who served the breakfast was extremely friendly and welcoming and chatted amicably to all of us. This gave it a very homely atmosphere.

I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone, but especially to Lundy visitors as a good base. The taxi into Ilfracombe took us door to door for £7.50 and the car park is large and safe.

We stayed here for 2 nights, one at each end of a week on Lundy Island. We were able to leave our car safely on the farm while we were on Lundy, which was a very convenient arrangement. We then used taxis to transfer to and from Ilfracombe harbour.
Rooms were pretty, beds comfortable, breakfast very good and peaceful surroundings.
We would certainly stay here again when we next visit Lundy.

Having read the reviews of the B and B, I feel that there are certain aspects of all of them that I both agree and disagree with.

The breakfast - cannot see how anyone would complain about this. On both days it was of good quality.

The soundproofing - on the first morning we were woken by the people next door at around 7. They had the TV on and were talking over it. this could clearly be heard and I think that as you are in the roof space the proofing will not be as solid as wished.

It is a working farm and there is lots to see, including the next week's sausages! I feel that a window in the breakfast room would be a bonus but I guess the design of the building prevents this.

The big plus are the owners. Very friendly and helpful. Glad that people like this are in the business.

We had a good experience staying here. Friendly and helpful. Clean and good facility for family with children. Excellent breakfast. Only issue for us was location and not being able to walk to a pub or restaurant, but that's us not everybody. Close to Ilfracombe and Woolacombe for day trips out.
Owners family run business and friendly.
