On first impression the frontage could do with an uplift, like fix steps and maybe varnish the doors but we were welcomed warmly by the manager who advised us (greatly) on car parking then showed us to our room. Our 4 poster, jacuzzi bath looked impessive also balcony.Plenty of tea/coffee facilities and flat screen tv was brilliant. The hotel itself was quite lop-sided, but it is an old victorian building. Great sauna area and would recommend this hotel to people wishing to stay as location to tunnels-beaches and high st. shops was good.Generally a fine stay with nice people in charge.

I found the Bath House welcoming and friendly and happy to fit in with my requirements. The room was better than I had expected as I had booked a single; a good size and well appointed with very clean and good bathroom. Excellent value for money. Recommended.

On arriving at this hotel I was appalled by the condition of the front entrance. The walls were falling apart and full of weeds, the steps were dirty and cracked, the windows in the front door were filthy (looked as if they hadn't been cleaned this season.) Still onward and upward I thought, however as I walked in the smell of stale cigarettes was overwhelming ,I mean its now a long time since the ban was introduced but this hotel still stank,a good clean or new carpets and curtains are needed quickly !! The man who booked us in was not the most welcoming and pointed us in the direction of the pre-war lift ,guess what it was dirty and dusty
Up we went to our room.
The room had been recently up-dated but had no shower as such just a hand held shower fitment (note in guest book in room:please note this is not a shower as no shower curtain is provided, any water damage to bathroom or room below by using as a shower will be chargable )so why have the shower fitment if you are not allowed to use it as a shower ?I mean who has a bath in the mornings these days but a shower is esential.I was dreading breakfast but to be fair the dining room was pleasant as were the staff and the food was acceptable but I had no desire to eat here.
Glad when I checked out and no I would not reccommend this hotel ,whoneeds to pay money to inhale stale ciggys.
Beware Parking is a nightmare as the hotel carpark was always full
