“Excellent value for money smack bang in the centre of Ilfracombe”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2013

We attend a wedding at Tunnels Beaches and this B&B was ideal in terms of location and value for money. Rocky Cove is a stones throw from the harbour with the famous Damien Hurst Verity statue, as well as from the wedding venue and the centre of Ilfracombe. The room was clean and functional (possibly a little stuffy for sleeping, but easily rectified by opening the window), and the breakfast served in the Cafe located in the basement of the B&B was very nice indeed. John & Polly are excellent hosts and were available to help with any requirements. We were able to check in early to get ready for our wedding at midday which was great, and although it is not often possible to park the car directly outside the B&B there are plenty of free options within walking distance that John kindly showed us. Doubt there would be many other places in Ilfracombe that provide such value for money!

Just spent one night in the Rocky cove. Really well positioned within minutes of the sea front, harbour, pubs and restaurants. The B&B is quite small with only 4 bedrooms but ours was a good size, nicely decorated and very clean. My only issue is the parking - fortunatley we were able to park on a metre right outside, but parking could be difficult in the summer. Great value for money.

We've just spent 2 nights in this great bed and breakfast.

The hosts are very friendly and welcoming.
The room was very clean, comfortable, and warm. It looks like it was all recently renovated.
Breakfast is great. It consists of juice, coffee or tea, fresh fruits, cereals, and high quality full english cooked breakfast to order.

Highly recommended.

It was a spur of the moment decision to stay a night in Ilfracombe and noticed a vacant sign at the Rocky Cove and we are so glad we did. The welcome was fantastic and we were shown the room before we had to decide. It was a lovely room spotlessly clean warm and comfy. Breakfast in the morning was very good. The two owners are very friendly and helpful nothing seems to be too much trouble. Hope to stay again and would definitely recommend it.

Enjoyed a lovely stay in a family room which had a double bed and a single bed, fantastic double bath and double shower, also the room catered for a cot and a baby bath both found in the wardrobe, there was also a hairdrier and tea and coffee making facilities, lovely views from the room, location was very good not far from the cove and also the harbor, had lovely cooked breakfast, nothing was too much trouble for the owners, cant wait to stay here again very clean and comfortable would be a great location to go exploring the coast line. No words could recommend this lovely place to stay enough.

Not stayed in a b&b for sometime and wasn't sure what it would be like.
I need not of worried it was first class.
A spotless modern feel to the room and dining room
The two owners were both extremely nice people who couldn't do enough for us
A good breakfast in the morning
I have never left a review before but felt I had to as thanks for the service
