We had a wonderful week at Lower Campscott Farm staying in Holly Lodge. The accomodation was fantastic, the views were superb, for the children the playground and games room were a great advantage & the hospitaliity extremely good. Kathy & Tony were very helpfull and accomodating with all our needs. The children loved the animals and so did we. The dogs loved the walks and so from every angle the holiday was a huge success. We will certainly go back but hope that next time the weather will be better but unfortunately no one has control over that!

My family and I had the most wonderful weekend at Lower Campscott Farm. We stayed in a 8 person chalet and it was a great space for us, clean and great value. The location is great as well. 30 mins walk to the beach or 20 mins to the pub. The icing on the cake was Tony who showed our kids around the farm, they LOVED it! Then they found the games room and the parents could begin to relax! All in all fantastic and v recommended.

Lower Campscott Farm was amazing. We are a family of 5 (children aged 12, 9 and 5) and we stayed in Birchtree Lodge which was gorgeous, clean and spacious and benefits from a garden area with a bench and barbeque provided. (Unfortunately it rained for most of our week away so we never got to use it, hence we would love to go back again and hopefully be a bit luckier with the weather). The farm is situated close to Ilfracombe and Woolacombe and we ate out at a few of the many lovely local country pubs (the Food and Days Out Guides provided were excellent). The owners, Tony and Kathy, were extremely friendly and helpful and the cream tea left for us in the fridge on the day we arrived was much appreciated. The children loved feeding the animals with Tony and we were all very sad to be leaving to come home! We definitely want to book to go again next year!!! Tony has some great plans for the farm and it would be lovely to go back and see them take shape!!

Room Tip: The Birchtree Lodge slept 6 and is all on one level. The 3 bedrooms were very spacious and I would thoroughly recommend it.

We booked a short 2 nights stay and stayed in Hydrangea Cottage where we enjoyed and appreciated the hospitality, peace and views

Our boys loved the bunk beds, the freedom they had running around the farm visiting/patting the animals. The lads also loved the well equiped games room with snooker, table tennis, lego, videos to borrow etc.

The owners and staff were so friendly and accomodating toward us and the children. We were even able to sample some fresh eggs from liberated battery chickens.

The picnic bench 20 yards away gives breathtaking views of the sea and meadows as well as wonderful display of a star packed night sky.The whole place is so peaceful and tucked away and seems a million miles away from hectic town life which really made our short holiday seem long. If you do need entertainment it can be had within reasonable distance. The farm is also a good vantage point for going to the various beaches to inspect rock pools, enjoy sandy beaches and a splash in the sea. The whole area has many scenic views and walks.

In summary, we really enjoyed ourselves there. The only thing....it was a bit too short.

We found this accommodation and area almost by accident and have had a fantastic fortnight's holiday in a beautiful location. Tony & Kathy, who run the farm, are extremely friendly and helpful with fabulous accommodation in an area of outstanding beauty. The accommodation is set within a working farm featuring Bisley the bull and his friends, Harvey the goose, Muffin the pony and free-range chickens galore. We stayed in a log cabin for the first week as a group of 4 adults + 2 children and then the 2 of us moved to a cottage for the second week. The area is amazing and we can't recommend this place highly enough!

Room Tip: Birchtree lodge is great for families, the Stables cottage perfect for a couple and child
