We stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We arrived quite late but received a very warm welcome from Ruth and were shown up to a room with 3 sea views. We found all of the staff really welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was cooked just how we had requested and was really nice.
Thank you :-)

Me and my girlfriend stayed for two nights and couldn't of asked for more. Perfect location in ilfracombe with plenty of shops, pubs, and cafes nearby. The room was very nice and being on the top floor had a good view over the harbour. Can't comment on the restaurant as we didn't eat in at night but the breakfast in the morning was spot on. Thank you for a great couple of days

Harbour Lights is conveniently located in the heart of the Ilfracombe harbour. We found the owner and her framily to be exceptionally friendly and helpful. The accomadtion is adequate but a bit dated, although we had free wi-fi. Apart from the overcooked sausage & bacon the breakfast was fine. The town is well worth a visit, with lots of places to enjoy devon ice cream.

We were given a warm welcome by Steve and Ruth. Our room was clean and comfortable with large ensuite. Wall mounted tv was on the small side but was flatscreen and you dont go on holiday to watch tv, so absolutely adequate. The place had a warm and friendly feel to it and owners Steve and Ruth went out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. Accommodation is above a lovely restaurant which is where breakfast is taken, cooked by Steve and served by Ruth. Fantastic food and service and restaurant spotlessly clean. Whilst we were there Ruth had even made her own strawberry smoothie!Car park 2 minutes away, but special rates for longer stays and once you have registered with car park, can park in many other car parks in local areas for no extra charge. Most hotels in the heart of Ilfracombe do not have their own parking facilities. As you step out of the Harbour Lights you are literally by the harbour with plenty to see and do in this low key and lovely resort. We would whole heartedly recommend staying at Harbour Lights and hope to return ourselves for a longer period next year.

We stayed here for one night on the 1st floor - and from reading other reviews, it does seem that the higher up the building you are the better the accommodation.
Our room was clean and comfortable - but a little dated and generally in need of some work (holes in the floor covered by carpet, a bathroom-style electric fan heater by the bed as the only form of heating, and signs to warn you that the shower leaks through to the kitchen if you point it in the wrong direction!).
However - these things didn't spoil our stay which was very enjoyable. Breakfast was good. Steve was very helpful and we had a very good nights sleep. It appears that the price (£60 for one night) may seem steep for that room - however is on the lower end of the scale generally for this area. And if we needed an affordable night in Ilfracombe again we would probably go back there.

Room Tip: The higher up the building you go - the better the room

I'm half way through my stay at The Harbour Lights and I'm very pleased that I discovered it. I arrived late afternoon and was welcomed and shown to my room. The restuarant was closed at the time but I found somewhere to eat locally. I was performing at The Landmark Theatre that night and was glad that my room was warm and comfortable do I could rest up after a long drive. Very clean and comfortable with a large bathroom with bath and shower. My bed was comfy with nice pillows, it was everything I needed and expected for a hotel at this price.
I'll be visiting again and would recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere nice to rest their head.

My wife and i stayed at the harbour lights for our honeymoon last year and definately were not dissapointed in anyway!!!! The food was well presented, well priced and tasted fantastic(espescially breakfast). We stayed in the apartment which was just the right size for the two of us but also had room for our 2 year old if we had chosen to bring her. The surrounding area is well balanced with pubs and things to do including an aquarium and boat trips and trails for bikes and walking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definately stay again!!!!
