Just got back from a weekend in the Palm Court and we were really impressed with it. I can't add much to previous reviews as it was a perfect place to stay. Very friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. We were with a coach party and they weren't phased by the numbers. The rooms were clean, beds very comfortable and bedding spotless. Nice towels and coffee/tea facilities. They provided a quiz for us in the evening which was fun.The full breakfast was well cooked and there was plenty of it. I would recomend it for a comfortable stay. We went with Leisuretime Travel and I wish I could give them a good review but sadly they really let us down however thats for another review. Well done Palm Court.

Room Tip: Stayed in Room 9. Big room but power point about 10' from the mirror so it was a problem drying...

We took 36 oldies to this hotel last weekend and we have a magical time.
The staff were lovely and extremely helpful for the whole four days.
The food was very good - very meat and 2 veg but beautifully cooked
and presented. Especially breakfast.
The entertainment was great as well and all in all we would definitely
go again.

Room Tip: If you are elderly check whether the rooms have bath/shower or just shower. My husband is a little...

Just returned from a Winter Break with my mother and and friend. My mother booked it with the local coach firm, so when we arrived to be greeted with tea mince pies and a Merry Christmas I thought, what going on. My Mother forgot it was a Turkey and Tinsel she had booked, so its like a mock Christmas. Well I have to say after the shock of being thrust into a pretend Christmas it was real fun. We had Christmas Dinner, crackers and a visit from the Big Man himself who presented us each with a present. We loved every minute. The Staff were lovely really helpful and nothing to much trouble. I recommend the breakfast its a buffet with everything you can imagine, its my favourate meal of the day, and as you help yourself no need for lunch!!
We had a great few days at the Palm court the weather wasn't great but a break we all enjoyed.
so hopefully we will back in the summer.

We stayed that the weekend with our friendship club, where we were greeted by Julie and had a tea and hot mince pie on arrive, a lovely welcome after a long journey. We found the room clean and comfortable with the staff and food were great. The meals were always plendiful and hot, we were served in no time which with the number staying was surprisingly quick. The entertaiment was fun and different every evening. we had a number of dancers in our group so they enjoyed the organist on the Saturday night. We didn't have much time to look around Ilfracombe its self, but as the Hotel is right on the seafront we managed to nip down to the harbour to see the new statue. Really needed moretime than a weekend to see the town,

Room Tip: My room was lovely and big, I was on 3rd floor

Stayed here with a group of 46 the rooms were coldlikete mageress whoruns it my dad had booked a disabilty room after we arrived the mangeress would not let my dad in with his scooter, but couldnot offer a wheel chair, he had to hire one, we paid for turkey and tinsel the only reason you knew it was christmas was the trimmings and christmas carrols, many people complained about the lack of heating in our rooms, many hadvto have blankets, and extra duvets, the entertainment was very poor, the hotel had no atmoshere, and certainly no christmas spirt, one poor staff member as well as doing the bar had to sort outvthe complaints too, a deadfull five day experience, notv eldery friendly. The other staff were hard working and the food was great, change the manger and this hotel could be a great place

Room Tip: Dont stay there

We went as a couple with friends on a coaching Turkey and Tinsel break with our local company, Voel Holidays. We arrived at the hotel to be greeted by a lovely lady bearing coffee and mince pies, then went up to our room in a slightly creaky lift. Our rooms were all clean and warm if slightly dated, with very comfortable beds. The food was very good, with a plentiful and varied buffet style .breakfast, and a good choice of starters, mains and desserts for the evening meal, including traditional Christmas fare. We also had a visit and gifts from Santa, and a cream tea on the afternoon of our final day. The staff were friendly and helpful with beaming smiles It may be a 2* hotel, but definitely 5* service. All in all, it was a really pleasant stay for a very reasonable price.

Room Tip: Some rooms have baths with over shower, others have step in showers - ask for which you prefer. All...
