We also just got back from a 3 night Easter stay. We were made to feel extremely welcome and relaxed by Zoe after long journey from London. Hotel and rooms were immaculate. Breakfasts were awesome! Would highly recommend staying here as great point to explore Ilfracombe and surrounding area - again thanks to Zoe's local knowledge.

Just got back from a 3 night Easter break, upon arrival we were welcomed by Zoë and shown up to our room which was a good size with en suite and very clean.
Over the bank holiday we enjoyed the facilities of the Elmfield, like the use of the lovely warm swimming pool complete with towels, local knowledge of eateries, places to visit and not forgetting the bar and breakfasts. Zoë was really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The Elmfield was a great base for our visit to the area and we would love to return.

We stayed two nights over Easter for a wedding and had a very comfortble stay. We were going to leave very early before breakfast, to speed up our travel, but could not resist waiting for breakfast. It is so good. Fresh fruit, fresh juice (not out of a can), hot berries for the yoghurt as well as full English breakfast if required.
The young couple who run this place really put in the extra effort. The Torrs walk that starts just above the hotel was fabulous.
I’m a hotelier too. So I know when the owners are going that extra mile.

We booked out this hotel and our host, Zoe, could not have done more to make our time here, and that of our guests, nothing short of fantastic. Great al la carte breakfast, brilliant swimming pool, SOOOOOO much space to relax. Thank you, you helped make our wedding. X

Amazing service and very personal. We had the whole hotel booked for my brothers wedding. They were very accommodating to all our needs, nothing seemed too much trouble. The downstairs lounge/bar/childrens/dining area really was brilliant and safe to leave the children in, if we were in the room briefly.

Would have no problem in recommending this hotel.

Had a wonderful stay . Zoe was very welcoming and always had a smile for us. We had our two teenage daughters with us and they had a wonderful room which was no 6 ... We had number 8 which was light and comfortable. The breakfasts were lovely and plenty to choose from ......... Would go back again and enjoy the swimming pool which we didn't have time to try .

Room Tip: Room 8 very bright and comfortable

We loved visiting Ilfracombe and it was made truly special by staying at The Elmfield. Our room was beautiful and spacious with an amazing view. Our hosts, Zoe, Matt and their two lovely boys made us feel so at home. We enjoyed some homemade sloe gin upon arrival and a huge feast too! We went on a big coastal walk with the Hotel Dog, Lola. Zoe mapped out our route for us and gave us some idea of what there was to do in the town. We were so spoilt by the family at Breakfast and we all sat and ate a proper full englisg with fresh fruit and yoghurts. Its one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and we can't wait to come back with our little boy as there was a big playroom he would love!
