Firstly, this has to be one of the best booking experiences I have ever had. A 13 year old who wants to do archery and a 5, 12 and 16 year who want to go horse riding. One number, three very pleasant call backs and it's organised for the next day - well done to whoever manages this end. Alvie estate is near Aviemore and offers a wide variety of activities. My cousin and her 13 year old son had an amazing archery session and plans to review it herself. Meantime we took the girls to the stables. They are out of the way but well signposted and the scenery is beautiful. Ingrid was fantastic with an initially tearful 5 year old who smiled for the full hours ride and chatted about .....everything. My husband and i walked alongside the horses, enjoying the views, the chat and a bit of gentle exercise. It cost £25 per person per hour with footwear and hats included. A wonderful, relaxing family experience - a very big thankyou to all involved. If you are travelling in a motorhome, please ask for advice on the best way to get there as there

Fantastic fun down the 12 zip wires. A great way to travel down the valley. Fun for parents and kids. Recommend booking as I think this activity will soon become very popular once more people know about it!

Hidden Gem of an activity, would recommend per booking to guarantee place.
Gentle walk to top of wire, easy stroll, friendly staff chatting with all participants enroute to top.
Safety very high priority and well managed in a family friendly way.

Start with some short runs building to an amazing 330mtr zip which takes about 35 seconds through some beautiful woodlands with stunning views.

Highly recommend for adventurous families and thrill seekers.

My partner and I recently took a trip to Grantown on Spey. Our main objective was to visit my partners favourite whisky distillery. However, we soon realised that we need more to fill up our days. Thankfully, the Alvie Estate was near by. We went quad biking (which was awesome, I didn't even realise that it was raining). The instructor was patient, informative and fun. We had the best time. My boyfriend was like a little school boy on that bike.
On our last morning we went zip wiring. It was so exciting and again our guide was so friendly and informative. The estate is so beautiful, I defy anyone not to fall in love with the Scottish countryside

A special mention for Alvie stabbles and Ingrid: she will drive you horseback in the wild, regardless your level or your age: a nice gillie to discover a part of this beautiful estate
