“Great cakes”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2013

We went there after trying the "original" Potting Shed café at Inshriach. Cakes are just as good here and so is the service. The peanut cake is especially good. It lacks Inshriach's views and amazing wildlife but that is not it's fault.

“Amazing Find!!!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 2, 2013

Seeing Red Squirrel, Woodpeckers and lots of different birds in such a beautiful location is amazing!!! The cakes are out of this world and would recommend a visit. Either visit early morning or late afternoon as it does get very busy there

“Small but amazing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2013

The small, one man cafe, The Potting Shed, is quite the best place to indulge your sweet tooth or to warm up with excellent soup. Philip, whose cafe it is, sets a very high standard with everything home made and is a most welcoming presence. The cakes are divine with new flavours along side old favourites and the portions aren't mean either. There is usually a choice of soups, just the thing when the wind is blowing down the High Street. Do not go,past this wonderful place!

“Superb”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2013

Wonderful little café', great home cooked food, had the Tomato and Sweet corn soup with crusty bread followed by Peach and Passion fruit cake with fresh cream all of which were gorgeous, washed down with wonderful coffee. Would recommend visiting here and will definitely be back next time we are up this way.

“Afternoon tea”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

Pretty basic tearoom - the potting shed is just that, a shed. Don't know why others rave about cakes. We both had cake - one was supposed to be lemon meringue cake but really was sponge with meringue on top. I had peanut cake which was ok but not the best I've tasted. A bit expensive for what we had. Nice to see birds on feeders but could see this at home!!!
