“Charming Coffee Shop”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2013

We just love The Potting Shed! Amazing homemade cakes, lovely coffee and a special viewing gallery to watch the little birdies of the highlands feed on peanuts - what's not to love. If you're in the area don't drive past, you'll not be disappointed

“These cakes should be sold nationwide!”

This place does nothing but cakes and drinks but does them to perfection. I challenge anyone to find better homemade cakes anywhere in the country.

Try the peanut cake, you will not be disappointed.

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2013

Really like this place and it's handy that it's open during the winter months.
Only problem is deciding what to have as every cake I have tried has been amazing :)

“Fabulous coffee shop”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 13, 2013

Visit this great little coffee shop in Kingussie. It offers home made cakes and coffee or tea served in china cups. Now you can also get home made soup too. All delicious! Pick up some locally made jewellery - the ultimate recycling as they are cleverly crafted from broken crockery. Or beautiful wood chopping boards and wall displays made from locally sourced Ash.
Run by the son of owners of the Inschriach plant nursery it is a quiet oasis to enjoy lovely food and drink after a stroll round the town or a longer hike. A better bet for refreshments after visiting the Highland Wildlife park too. Excellent value for money and cakes can be ordered for taking home.
