A very good visit in June 17, Derek and Celia were very welcoming to their ;lovely restaurant with rooms. the whole ambience was very relaxing and restful. The grounds had lovely walks for the dog, complete with resident red squirrels and deer and easy access to sign posted walks. The rooms were tastefully decorated and of a very good size, even sharing with the dog. But the restaurant was the icing on the cake, the food was wonderful and the atmosphere very relaxing. My wife has a very restrictive diet and this was easily handled with no fuss or bother. The chef is to be highly commended for this. All in all a lovely stay and we hope to return soon.

Represented a splurge for us, but it was worth it! Comfortable inn with lovely surroundings and excellent, friendly service. But the food is in a class of its own: creative and first rate and the dining room is lovely.

This is the perfect place to stay while traveling in Scotland. The building is enchanting and quaint, the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, with up to date hot water and wifi, and the windows open so you can hear the stream gurgling past during the night.

Derek and Celia have done a magnificent job in maintaining and enhancing this former-tweed-mill hotel.

The common rooms are very nice with lots of reading material (also in the bedrooms) to pore over if you are here for an extended stay (unfortunately we were not here long, just stopping between Skye and Edinburgh).

The restaurant is extraordinary -- see our review under "Restaurant" -- both for dinner and for the included breakfast. And the bar has a wide an innovative range of spirits, including the local Spey Scotch.

The town is fairly small, so you can get out to the beautiful countryside easily.

Room Tip: Get a room overlooking the river / stream.

From the welcome when we arrived to our departure it has been a brilliant 2 days. Dinner was superb, congratulations to the chef. Room No 8 has a fantastic view of the red squirrels on the feeders together with a wide variety of birds. Great walks on the doorstep, what more could you ask for, hopefully we shall return
