What can I say what fantastic, full of character and charm hotel and not only the building I'm talking about, the owners mark and Yolanda match the hotel perfectly and do anything to make your stay accomodating. Will definetly be back what great value for money. The garden and resturant are beutiful also the ducks in the garden are so funny to watch, rooms are maintained to a high standard. The place has charm and it makes your stay.Thank you for our great weekend.

My partner and I booked the pent house suite at the Columba House Hotel. The room was so lovely and very comfortable, especially the couch. the room is very tastefully decorated and the bath can easily fit two people. Very clean with lots of space and comfy bed.
We ate in the restaurant and the food was superb. Excellent quality ingredients, pipping hot food that was cooked with love and care.
The breakfast was equally high quality... My cheese on toast was fantastic. I dont usually eat breakfast but I couldnt resist this.
The staff, decor and overall feeling you get when you eat and stay here is fantastic. We stay in a lot of hotels as we travel a lot but I can safely say that the Columba is one to beat.
The owner/chef has only had the Hotel for a few months but he is going in the right direction.
Thank you for a very memorable stay.

Room Tip: The pent house suite faces over the gardens. Two armchairs in the suite are perfectly positioned to...

We were looking for a quiet relaxing place to stay with good food and spacious accommodation at a reasonable price. The Hotel and accommodation was fantastic with everything required, in quiet and beautiful surroundings. The Restaurant went out onto a lovely patio and garden area and meals times were a pleasure, as all the staff and owners provided excellent service at all times. The food was always delicious, big portions with lots of choices available. Mark, the owner is passionate about providing good food and makes a point of personally speaking to everyone, making sure they are satisfied and enjoying all they have to offer, they also provide good advice on places of local interest and enjoy hearing from guests how their day has gone. We had a delightful stay and recommend this Hotel & Restaurant to everyone. We look forward to our next stay there.

We stayed here on a groupon voucher which was two night b&b with dinner on he first night.

The hotel is homely and crosses the border of B&B/hotel, the owners are new and had only been there in charge for 7 weeks, very nice people that made our stay comfortable, the meal on the first night was very nice and good home cooked food. Breakfast was freshly cooked a good selection of things o choose from.

Room was clean and well equipped, all in all for the price we paid we couldn't complain.

We booked this hotel on a whim by using the internet to find a late deal. We were not disappointing, it is set back from the main street of Kingussie atop a small hill. the first impression was that it was smaller than the picture on the internet but it looked very picturesque and clean. The Welcome as well was warm and friendly from Mark the proprietor who has warm wonderful South African accent. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and good value for money. the meals are excellent quality and the menu is not to complicated. The restaurant looks out over a lovely garden that on the sunny weekend we had was just right ti sit outside and have dinner. Overall this is a wonderful place to stay as a base whilst enjoying the comfort and good food that the Columba provides.

Oh and lastly the view from the garden of the Cairngorm rage is breath taking
