We had a great day out at the Highland Wildlife Park. We had a complimentary entry ticket as part of a break at the Hilton Coylumbridge, but the standard 2+2 entrance fee of about £44 didn't seem out of proportion to other similar attractions. The facilities were good, clean toilets, a nice little shop and a cafe overlooking the snow monkey enclosure. The drive-through safari element of the park was good, all animals were easy to see and we were fortunate to be there at a quiet time so we were able to take our time going around. The walking element of the park was also good, well signposted and with good hardstanding paths and great viewing platforms. We had our three year old twins with us and they loved the whole place, especially the Wolves, and the Polar Bears (only place in the UK that you can see them). There is also a good adventure play park with something for all ages. Overall it was a great day out and we would definitely go back.

We went here for our son's 2nd birthday. He really loved the experience, as did we! The setting for the park is stunning (beautiful mountains all around) and this really adds something as you walk and drive around the place. We saw monkeys, tigers, polar bears, camels, wildcats, capercaillie, owls, deer, wolves and more. We had some great views of the animals. They all looked well looked after and all had what seemed like large enough enclosures. It is also quite quirky, interesting and refreshing that all the animals selected for the park are chosen due their association with colder habitats and conditions (so no elephants or giraffes!!). We bought our day tickets at the beginning of the day and ended up upgrading them to season tickets as we were so impressed with the place and want to go back. You could easily spend a day there. A 'must visit' on any travel itinery. Plenty of adults walking around too, so certainly not just for kids.

Turned up just before opening time but once the gate was opened was greeted by a friendly fella explaining the dos and donts of the park, Drove round and was amazed by the size of it and how much space the animals had to wonder around. The drive alone must of taken the best part of 40mins, On parking up you can go any direction you want. It was great how close you can get to the animals and how well built every thing is. You can see they are very passionate about the place and do as much as they can, Several info boards let you know that the enclosure was either the largest or one of the largest in the world. At first you might think £14 each is a bit pricey but you soon relies its worth every penny
