Description: Dinner served Wednesday to Sunday, last orders 8.45pm. Lunch served Thursday to Sunday, last orders 2.45pm. Under new management since August 2016, The Tipsy Laird is a traditional village pub in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park with a great range of local Malt Whiskies, Scottish Gins & Cask Ales, and a fantastic food offering at affordable prices, with daily specials as well. The Tipsy Laird boasts a stunning South facing beer garden, perfect for lunch on a weekend or a quiet pint in the evening. Or if you prefer the indoors, we have plenty of seating in the bar & restaurant areas, with a roaring fire for the winter months. We are family & dog friendly, although please note persons under the age of 18 (this includes babies) are not permitted on the premises after 8.30pm unless consuming a meal. Please note that restaurant service concludes at 9pm every night. Dinner reservations are recommended, especially from May - September & during school holiday times.

So you arrive in this nice wee town, settle in, go for a walk and feel a thirst coming on. Stop at the Tipsy Laird to a warm but reserved Highland welcome and get a decent pint to wash away the journey. Clearly this is not one of the notorious Scottsih Drinking Pubs where sinner is a bag of crisps and no evening is complete without a wee altercation so you ask for a table for dinner. With Dog. No problem but we are going to be busy tonight and you can't go into the restaurant with the dog. Get back later and at the appointed hour. Table reserved. Place heaving but service prompt and smily. Beer still good and a sound, wide ranging menu and perfectly presentable prices. The food is good and adequate but no more. We left full, happy and not over light in the pocket.

We enjoyed a good straight forward meal here. It was better than many bar meals in that they had a good range of choice, the food was well prepared and flavoursome and provided plenty of proper vegetables rather than just a garnish. We were looking for a good evening meal while on holiday rather than a special celebration so this place was an ideal choice - not gourmet food but something simple done well. There was a friendly atmosphere in the bar and staff were helpful. They delivered exactly what was on the label. Easily found on the High Street.

Great food, good service and really nice menu. Don't be put off by the 'Sports Bar' appearance, as the restaurant is really nice, lovely decor and nice ambiance.

Stopped here on a whim for a bar lunch as liked the name of the establishment. The bar meal menu was good, and the resultant food ordered was very good
