We booked this two-night stay a while back and were really looking forward to it.

The proprietor is an extremely nice and friendly lady who is in the process of renovating a lovely old building but there is a lot to do.

The rooms are clean and breakfast was good. However, the place doesn't really have parking, as such, just a couple of spaces at the side of the building in a private drive which accesses the rear of adjacent properties. However, we were provided with one of those spaces - which was both kind and helpful.

The bar is well-stocked and wasn't too busy.

This will, I'm sure, be a great place to stay when the renovations are complete and I would recommend it for people who aren't expecting the height of luxury. It's a clean, comfortable and welcoming place that deserves to fulfil its potential.

Stayed one night here as we were attending a wedding. The small double was just that, small. But it was reasonably priced and the room was spotless so just what we needed. The tea tray was a nice touch and we used the lovely tea cups for our gin. There’s a lot of noise from the bar area when it’s busy, but it didn’t disturb us as we were out all evening and the bar was closed when we got back. I could see that it might be frustrating if you were going to spend much time in the room though. A friendly welcome from staff on arrival, I would definitely consider the Victoria again if we need somewhere to get our head down in Blairgowrie

We were very pleased with our stay here. Very warm welcome from Asta. The place, though not luxurious, was spotless. The beds were very comfortable and nice linen on them. We had no difficulty finding the place and s parking spot. We would definitely come back here. Very reasonably priced and staff are so courteous.

Arrived here on Thursday the 5th April 2018 greeted in the bar by owner given our room key and shown our room asked if we were happy with the room before we paid for it.I booked it on booking.coms website and the picture they had of the hotel from the outside was not a true account of what we saw. Upon pulling up to the hotel we found we didn’t recognise the building straight off as most of the letters were missing from the building, looking very run down from the photo we saw. It advertised free parking but there was no parking luckily upon arrival a lady was leaving and we were able to park in the space she was parked for that night, but after then we parked in the co-op car park which luckily was free for 72 hours which was fine for us , as we were leaving on the Saturday to stay somewhere else for one night ,and coming back again on the Sunday. We had the small double room which had a comfortable bed,tv,tea and coffee facilities. We had breakfast the first two mornings we were there. Not quite sure why we had asparagus on a full English with mayonnaise and mustard sauces on the table no ketchup or brown sauce as you would expect. We arrived back here on the Sunday night for our last nights stay again greeted by owner bar seemed quiet we explained to the owner we would not be requiring breakfast the next morning as we had a long drive ahead on Monday the 9th April 2018 and we were leaving early. The hotel did not appear to have any guests so we thought we would have an early night. Around about 10pm after being in bed for around half an hour, the owner and local residents decided to turn the music from the bar up very loudly and have a heavy rock night. Lots of shouting and screaming drunken fuelled night doors banging lots of foul language. We double locked the door as the party seemed along the hallway of the room as it was that loud. There were people coming up and down the stairs shouting and they weren’t even staying in the hotel. The hotel seemed to turn into a nightclub for that night we tolerated this till around 2-3am we left at 7am to get on the road nobody around to hand our key to as we assumed the owner having a late night would be too intoxicated. We were very disappointed with this behaviour on the night as the previous days we slept really well here. We would not return to this hotel. As for Blairgowrie itself there is a decent Wetherspoons which is a saviour and a lovely river that runs by the town with some lovely walks which we unfortunately didn’t get the chance to experience. This is a true account of what we experienced here. This is a budget hotel and we knew it wouldn’t be amazing but you would think guests would be respected when trying to sleep.

Well looked after by Asta. Rooms were not to my taste but clean and comfortable with tea facilities and also very reasonably priced. Easy to find and centrally located. Breakfast was well cooked and presented.
