There are two 18 hole courses and both are lovely. We bought a day ticket and played one in the morning and the other after a nice lunch in the club bar. Truely a delightful day. We were there from 8am until 6pm. A great day of golf.

Design and condition:
Blairgowrie Golf Club boasts not one, but two excellent 18 hole courses, (The Rosemount & The Landsdowne). In terms of quality, it is difficult to separate them. However, for a social round of golf I would favour the Rosemount over the Lansdowne, which is a sterner test of golf being longer and tighter than it’s more famous, elder brother.

No matter which course you play you’ll discover fairways cut through beautiful , rolling heathland , lined by forests of pine and silver birch, while a liberal sprinkling of purple heather, broom and gorse add considerable colour to an already majestic setting.
With that in mind, the first priority is to stay on the short grass, which should make you grateful that the fairways are generous.
The par threes, in particular, are outstanding and both courses have a strong finish, so you can’t relax until you’re back in the excellently refurbished clubhouse.

Playability:
The Rosemount Course measures almost 6,600 yards and offers a par 72 layout from the back medal tees. Starting with a tough dog-leg par four of almost 450 yards, there are many fine holes throughout the Rosemount Course, including the par four, 4th hole, rated as the hardest on the course and the wonderful 165-yard par three, 17th hole, with its severely tiered green.

The Lansdowne Course, measuring just over 6,900 yards from the Championship Tees and also a par 72, is slightly longer than its more illustrious older brother and many would say that it represents a sterner test, (the opening 5 holes leave you in no doubt what lies ahead and a steady start is a must if you harbour any thoughts of registering a decent score).

Both courses are well bunkered, with large, receptive greens which hide some subtle borrows. The greens are quick and true throughout so you’ll need to keep your concentration right up until the final putt drops.

Facilities and welcome:
The Blairgowrie Golf Club offers the chance to play on two of the finest Championship Golf Courses, (and one of the best 9 hole courses), in Scotland.
The nine-hole "Wee Course" is perfect for a warm-up round or for golfers just starting out. The Club also boasts a driving range, full practice area, pitching and putting practice greens to allow you to warm up or work on your game, (or seek the assistance of the clubs professional coaches), prior to taking to the course.

The Clubhouse is a truly awe inspiring sight, the white Colonial style building, looking out over the Rosemount Courses 18th green.
When inside the welcome is equally impressive with a luxuriously appointed reception area leading through to the welcoming, comfortable bar/lounge area and restaurant.
Upstairs there are excellent locker rooms with ample changing & shower facilities where you can freshen up after your round before relaxing downstairs with a post-golf pint or two and some of the excellent food on offer.

Staff are welcoming and friendly, with table service provided by the excellent, (and rather attractive), catering staff.

The Club Pro's are knowledgeable are helpful and always happy to share a couple of tips or assist you on choosing any new equipment you might have your eye on.

Whether you are a good amateur or an enthusiastic beginner, Blairgowrie Golf Club offers a challenge for any golfer, with breathtaking scenery, excellent facilities throughout and two challenging Championship Courses making it a truly memorable golfing experience.

Three magnificent courses to suit golfers looking for a great test. Scenery and wildlife is second to none.
The "Wee" course must be high on the list of well maintained courses in the country. A joy to play. Underpriced still charging 1980/1990's prices
