The beginning of the 1st part of the trail smells like urine, which is such a shame, as you can't enjoy it properly!

The rest is fun!

“Some stunning views to take in on this lovely walk”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

This was my first relatively long distance walk. I walked the traditional clockwise route from Blairgowrie. Days 2,3 and 4 were far superior in terms of the quality of the walk and the scenery. The last day from Alyth was a bit of a slog with too much walking on tarmac for my liking. The walk from Kirkmichael to Glenshee is absolutely stunning - it's only 8 miles but take your time and have regular stops to take in the scenery.

“Stunning views and weather”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

If you are thinking of doing this trail then what are you waiting for? Fantastic walks and stunning scenery. Did this trail in stages and loved it. My favourite aspects were Auchintaple Loch and also the walk from Enochdu to Spittal of Glenshee. If you like walking then this is a must.

“The cateran trail”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

Thoroughly enjoyable walk challenging at times but rewarded with great views. Stayed at the Angus Hotel in Blairgowrie for the duration of our walk. Hotel excellent with leisure facillities and very attentive staff. Local taxi man William MacDonald (01250 873538) provided an excellent and prompt transfer service making the overall experience just great

“Lovely rolling hills, great views”
Reviewed June 5, 2013

Relatively easy walking, varied terrain, well marked but lacking in lunchtime stops to buy food. Limited hotels to stay in so book well in advance.
