We stayed at Wight Waves chalet the last week of March 2016, and will definitely be visiting again! (Already booked!)
This was my first time stopping on the Isle of Wight and we could not have chosen a better place! Lovely modern chalet that has recently been refurbished to a very high standard, everything new and clean, I didn't want to leave and would quite happily move in!
Upon arrival we was greeted by a lovely little hamper with some goodies in such as wine, apple juice and cookies all made locally which was a lovely welcome. There is a little notebook for visitors to write in to recommend places they have been like day outs or restaurants, I have never seen that before, thought it was a great idea! There is some electricity for when you get there so you don't need to worry about the £1 coins straight away, as long as you don't leave everything on all night this does go down slowly.
I think for the first time in my life whilst on holiday, the Wi-Fi worked well! Did not lose signal at all so you can check your emails or Facebook if you wish too!
There is a kitchen with all the appliances and everything you need (utensils, bowls, plates, saucepans etc.) for if you want to do some cooking whilst your away. We didn't do much cooking but did use the oven a couple of times... The bed in the bedroom is so comfy! I slept better there than I do in my own bed at home. Can tell its a high quality mattress. The bathroom has everything that a bathroom should have (shower; toilet; sink; heated towel radiator) and a little mirror cupboard to put things in.
The chalet is in a superb location, only a short walk to Sandown sea front and pier via either the road or coastal path. I loved going for evening walks along the coastal path listening to the waves and watching the rabbits. The Isle of Wight zoo is an even shorter walk, we walked there. If you are sitting outside the chalet you may even hear the tigers roaring! We didn't unfortunately but then we didn't sit outside much as we had storm Katie the first half of our trip.
David and Gillian were extremely helpful and friendly, cannot praise them enough for making our holiday so memorable. If you want to know anything like a nice place to go for breakfast; fish and chips; meal out or a day out then they will have somewhere to recommend.
Really looking forward to our next visit! Thank you David and Gillian, we shall see you soon!
