“Top class accomodation and amazing breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2011

We had a great welcome, superb accomodation and great breakfasts in a quiet location. The scrambled eggs with smoked salmon are terriific!
All sorts of wildlife in the garden. Two resonably good pub/restaurants nearby.

Having spent over 30 years staying in a whole range of accommodation around the world, this top class B & B ranks among the best.

A very warm welcome from Linda the proprietor, nothing is too much trouble. Even a pot of tea and fruitcake in the lounge, was waiting for us upon arrival.

The furnishings and decor are of the the highest standard, from the Inglenook fireplace, cozy lounge and beams throughout this gorgeous property. Bedroom is tastfully decorated and well-appointed. Breakfast is wholesome and tasty. They even have a hot tub, which looks out onto the rolling Somerset countryside. A joy to watch the setting sun, whilst sipping a glass of wine.

A real gem of a place that excels on every level. I do not know how they do it for the price.

We will definately be returning!

My husband and I stayed at the Burton Row Farmhouse for one night on our way to Devon from Derby, and the farmhouse was such a super place to stay, I would recommend it to anyone! On our arrival we were welcomed by Linda and shown to our bedroom, which was beautifully decorated, and the bathroom, Wow! A gorgeous walk in shower and lovely toiletries complimented the spacious en suite. We then went downstairs and Linda gave us coffee and cake in the lovely oak beamed lounge.
We drove into Burnham on Sea before eating at a local pub, the Red Cow, which was very good.
We ate a delicious breakfast in the pretty dining room, Linda serves a most delicious bowl of fresh fruit in addition to all the usual cereals, and we had a full English breakfast.

All in all, this was a B & B of exceptional character, Linda has excellent taste and has worked hard to provide a 5* plus establishment. We do hope to return very soon!!

What better way to start a long weekend away than with tea and fruit cake by the fire! Our room was perfect- beautifully furnished and very clean. The breakfasts were wonderful with locally sourced produce (the eggs are VERY local- you can see the chickens from the window!!). There is lots of information on places to see in the area and we found the location good for visiting Cheddar, Wells, Glastonbury etc.
Linda is extremely accomodating and has the right balance of being helpful and friendly without being too much. I couldn't fault it!

Couldn't agree more with the excellent review already written which sums up this place perfectly. Really an absolute gem! From first booking till leaving I could not fault anything. The proprietor Linda is one of the nicest people I have ever met and helped with absolutely everything. The rooms are beautiful and the breakfast lovely. I really could not fault this place in anyway.

I will definitely be going back soon....

What an absolute gem! After booking a last minute break it was fabulous to Find Linda at Burton Row farmhouse, we were welcomed with warmth and felt at ease from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. The rooms were second to none and the attention to deatil was amazing! Luxurious to say the least - we especially loved the fluffy bathrobes, walk in shower and the toiletries all for our comfort!! Unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy the hot tub but rest assured we will back to try it again with a glass of wine in hand! The breakfast was first class, enought to fill any appetite, home made preserves were my other halfs particular favourites, all available to purchase ( forgot to buy this time won't forget again!!!) The veiws from the back of the house are wonderful with a welcome from the cows each morning a plesant sight when you live so near the city at home. My favourites were Scrumpy and Jack the resident Alpackers (hope I have spelt that right!) who loved a munch on the leaves from a nearby tree!! Local pubs served good old pub grub, but book early as thay get booked very quickly, Linda was more than happy to do this for you. All in all a fabulous stay and highly recommended.....See you soon Linda!!!!!
