We visited picassos early January for the 1st time after it was recommended by a friend. The restaurant is very nice, with friendly staff and a warm atmosphere. We went for a birthday, therefore were ordering from the main menu and not there for the what seems to be the popular "happy hour" We ordered various starters which were all very good, but when it came to the mains, I ordered a sirloin steak in Diane sauce, at nearly £16, I expected a nice prime juicy steak, but what turned up was a very thin what I can only describe as "supermarket quality" sirloin, which I could have picked up in asda for about £3, with some sauce over the top and a side bowl of chips.....very disappointing for nearly £16. All the other main courses looked very nice and everyone commented how good they were, so overall very good, and we will probably return, but I definitely won't be ordering a steak !!

I am pleased Billyg enjoyed his visit to Picasso's - apart from the steak of course. I hope you mentioned it at the time - we take pride in correcting mistakes when we make them. Billy - when you come back, as we hope you will, let us know you're the one who wrote the review, and a free steak will be yours to make up for last time.

My family and i had the most amazing meal at Picassos on Friday 4th January. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was amazing and the food was delicious. We went early as the children are young but it was still lively, by the time we were leaving the place was very busy so i would recommend booking a table. We will definitely be going back !

For thr 5th year running 10 of us went to Picassos and I think that this was the best yet. The singing waiter was brilliant and made a good atmosphere for midnight. As usual the food was excellent and Picassos is not like other places on New Years Eve, they do not hike up their prices - in fact you eat from the normal priced menu which is very unusual on a New Years Eve. Also on arriving you get a free glass of bubbly. Heres to next year.

This restaurant is local to us so decided to book for New Year's Eve. We had heard how popular it is and they get booked up well in advance.
Being just the two of us we decided to have the meal and a few drinks but to see new year in at home, a very short walk away.
They had a couple of sittings but the later one at 8.30 guaranteed your table for the rest of the evening to see the new year in there if you wanted.
We arrived and were given a welcome drink of bubbly. Shown to our table not long after. The service was incredible considering how many people were there. We were the smallest table but some had 20 plus people sitting at them but in no way did you feel packed in. We paid £10 when we booked and you just picked off the normal menu or specials which was ideal. Sometimes a set menu can either be expensive or not have much choice.

The food was excellent.

Staff worked extremely hard that night.

We left however about half past eleven but they also provided music after everyone had eaten.

Congratulations to the owners for putting on such a great night and thank you to all the staff. Happy new year.
