Friday evening just before 8, group of 3. When we arrived all tables were occupied or reserved but staff had a "waiting list" organised. We had intended to have a drink outside while we were waiting but by the time drinks had been served a table was ready. Ordering of meals is at the bar, but as soon as it was evident one of our choices had options, the waitress came straight to the table to make sure everyone's choices were correct. Arrival of food was not quick, but not excessive either, considering it was quite busy. Everything came out together and freshly cooked. We had chosen main courses only and this proved to be a good choice. Portions were generous and tasty. While I would still class this as pub food, it is a very high standard of pub food with enough choices on the menu to suit most. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout. Will be happy to return.
