We are just back from a week staying in this lovely cottage. As a first holiday with our five month old daughter this was the perfect base for a trip to the island. The cottage was very comfortable and extremely well equipped, we had everything we needed and more. Joyce and John were so friendly and were so keen to ensure we had a good stay. The generous welcome supplies of food kept us going throughout the week and the delicious cake was a wonderful treat. The highchair, cot and bouncer made life a lot easier and our little girl slept very well, as did we! Joyce also left a Father’s Day card for my husband which was a much appreciated personal touch. We very much enjoyed our stay and know that others would not be disappointed. If we make a return visit to the Isle of Man in the future we wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
We enjoyed a lovely sunny week staying in this comfortable cottage. Joyce and John could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The cottage is well-appointed and there was a generous welcome pack that provided everything we needed for breakfast the next day and more, so there was no rush to stock up at the local supermarket.
The location is quiet with a view of Snaefell from the patio at the rear of the property and although it is in the north of the island we found it easy to visit the whole of the island in our hire car.
There is a lot to do in a week on the island. You can catch the electric tram from Ramsey to travel down the east coast and there are other heritage rail journeys to make: up Snaefell, along the south coast and the mine railway at Laxey. There are pleasant walks in the glens and round the coast and fantastic views from many points on the island.
Well worth a visit. And this cottage is a lovely place to make your base.
Lovely cottage, friendly owners and supplies left for us overwhelming, from the delicious Victoria Sandwich, eggs, cheese, milk, fruit, cobs and butter. Very cosy too as the nights were very cold. A very relaxing holiday.
Fantastic is all I can say from the fantastic welcome pack to the beautiful cottage that has everything you could need and fresh baked bread and a beautiful spunge cake on arrival. We stayed for a week and are coming back in September.
This was our second stay in this lovely cottage and we had been really looking forward to coming back. We were not disappointed. There was a beautiful cake waiting for us as well as other wonderful goodies to make things easy for our arrival. Joyce and John were most welcoming and the cottage was warm, comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. As I said before, I could live here! Many thanks once again and we hope to be back soon!
