“Factual but not boring”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

Spent half a day here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Plenty to see and read about and I recommend it to residents as well as tourists. Café on site which is not the best but certainly above the average around here.

“Another part of the jigsaw”
Reviewed October 12, 2013

I have to say that this was one of the best attractions I have ever visited anywhere in the world. We spent two very interesting hours going around the three floors of this museum reading the stories and listening to the interactive screens. This museum along with Castle Rushen, Peel Castle and Cregneash are the peices in the jigsaw that tell the story of the island and its inhabitants over the centuries. The museum is also one children would enjoy as there are many touch screen systems and interactive areas. The cafe downstairs also does and excellent Latte.

“Well worth going out of your way to visit, The House of Manannan.”

You can spend a lot of time in here. From the fantastic long ship to the excellent presentation of life as it really was throughout two thousand years or so in the Isle of Man, with all of its' history.

This is a must visit when on the Isle of Man. The A lot of effort has been put into this and it shows. The entrance fee is good value and you will not wnat to spend less than 2 to 3 hours wandering around the museum. A real treat especially for families.

I visited this attraction with my husband and two children not long after it opened. We returned in August of this year and found it to be a bit worn and frayed around the edges. Some of the exhibits didn't work properly and parts of the museum could use a fresh coat of paint. Over all, we were not really impressed.
