A real gem of a place right by the sea. Excellent sausage sandwiches, good coffee and very pleasant surroundings, what more can you want.

The food was a little overwhelming, but very well worth the price. I ordered a cream tea for one, and got a large pot of tea, 1&1/2 rounds of sandwiches with two fillings, side salad, ramekin of crisps, scone with ramekins of cream & jam and a large slice of Victoria sponge cake!! I really couldn't finish everything, though had a good try with a little help from my friend. She had the French Onion soup which she loved, and a round of sandwiches. A lovely small cafe, though a little cramped... but admittedly we did arrive at it's busiest time, and turned out to be quite entertaining as we couldn't help but overhear the guy next to us big himself up and constantly brag to the girl he was with.

“Small and simple”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

The Peel restaurant is very small but has lovely views of the harbour. The food is simple but there are nice touches such as the warm bread to enjoy whilst you wait. Service is good although not too personal and you have to provide your own wine.
