Excellent info on how to maximize you money during your stay. Travel tickets cover all transport. Senior passes from the mainland are not valid

I think a lot of the problems are down to lack of motivation of the staff. Most times I have visited the service has been average to poor, but to be fair to them ,having recently visited a tourist information centre across ,they could be a lot worse.

All the staff at the Welcome Centre were most courteous and friendly. They advised us on which taxis to use and were helpful when we were purchasing tickets for the buses

The welcome centre is a well appointed visitor information centre, which can advise on a number of events going on around the island. The unfortunate thing is the short opening hours, particularily on a Sunday. It should be open all day Sunday, and in the evenings in my opinion. Leaflets at the entrance remain on display when centre is closed, but anyone coming off the boat looking for hands on help are out of luck.
