What a wonderful way to travel along the seafront in Douglas. We particularly liked the names of the horses hanging around their necks. One had my husband's name, another 2 had friends names so we had a bit of a chuckle about this. The tram stops are placed in good spots for getting on and off.

“Not to be missed”
Reviewed September 16, 2013 via mobile

Many people would boohoo this kind of transport. Not the excitement of a theme park? But a real pleasant leisurely ride down the wonderful promenade at Douglas. The Diver/conductors are fantastic. Even in the rain (not unusual) they make the journey a pleasure. The horses are wonderful and obviously well looked after. The ride is a pleasure for ALL ages.

“A great experiance”

A fantastic way to travel the mile plus from one end of the prom to the other, the single fares are a bit high as they apply from wherever you get on but the answer is to get an explorer ticket which covers all the public transport on the island including the horse trams.

“Fun way to travel”
Reviewed September 14, 2013

Love the horse trams! Hope they can continue them forever. They are definitely from a bygone era, but don't tell the horse that pulls you. This a fun way to travel a couple of miles and save wear and tear on your feet.

“Caine Family”

Our 7 year old granddaughter enjoyed this very much, she liked to see which horses were working each day and found it quite funny that her cousins Mark and Nichola had horses named after them.
