Description: Portofino was opened at 18:15 on the 19th November 2010, as the Island's most prestigious Mediterranean and International restaurant. Dominating the Quay West development, centrally located in the Isle of Man's capital Douglas, Portofino enjoys spectacular views overlooking the marina, with activity of the street outside, visible through floor to ceiling windows. The grill, fish, poultry, meat and vegetables are prepared in full view of diners at the surrounding kitchen. During summer, outside tables are available for dinning. Portafino's interior was designed by Sicilian owner Mario Ciapelli. Its interior is complemented by high-back leather chairs, a modern cocktail serving bar and contemporary lighting throughout to provide a luxury and modern yet comfortable enviroment for diners. The restaurant also provides diners with the option to book the Xander Suite, a private dining room which can accommodate up to 30 guests.

Modern chic setting on regenerated quayside. Food was fantastic, some of the best I have had in the UK. Service was second to none, staff very personal attentive and professional. very good wine list with excellent recommendations from the proprietor. 5 stars....

This restaurant really is the best in the Isle of Man - it's that simple.

Have been here a couple of times the food is outstanding and presented well. The menu choice is great and the atmosphere is very good also. I wouldn't go again during the week as I don't think the service was as good as the weekend.

Nice surroundings with a view over the harbour. However food was disappointing and expensive for what it was.

Spent some lovely days on the Isle of Man and had one night dinner in the Portofino. What a nice decorated and stylish place it is. Had dinner with a lovely Service, really nice starters BUT my main course was a just uneatable portion of over cooked pasta in tonnes of cream souce, when I retunred the meal, I had to explain to three different people what I thought was wrong with it! Am I am a cook???Unbelievable! But than I was even more suprised when I was asked to pay the full amount at the end. So in summary, we paid 114£....value for money? Not for me!
