We went to Tickethall as part of a friends 50th birthday. The food was sensational and this isn't an under statement. I'd never had such a succulent steak since being the USA but the rib eye steak came and it was so tender and wonderfully seasoned.
The Tickethall boast that their menu is dependent on what comes in fresh that day. The fish, the meat the veg. We had a rather strange green cauliflower like veg. I was so bemused by this the following week I went up to see Bryan Radcliffe (the farmer who supplies the veg) to buy one!
It was a great night and the service was superb. The venue was unlicensed so you can bring your favorite wine or tipple.
Be warned though, this place books up fast. Testament to the reputation it's rightfully gained.
