“Novel experience Day Ticket”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2014

We took the tram to Snaefell mountain, it was a very pleasant ride through scenic villages and had a stop at Laxey, where the famous Water Wheel is, there is a nice church in the village and some lovely walks, we also went to Ramsey and returned by bus. The day ticket cost £16

“A must for any visitor”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2014

A lovely little tramway that takes you across the island. The scenery that passes by on your journey is spectacular and definitely worth the fare. The guards are very knowledgeable and friendly and we really enjoyed our return journey.

“A must on a clear day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2014

We took the railway to the top of Snaefell on a really clear day. We had fantastic views of Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales. We also had a wander round Laxey - a pleasant village which is strung out between the railway and the sea. It's a pity we didn't have time to go up the coast to Ramsey.

“Another trip back to the future”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2014

The tram ride, although noisy went through some wonderful scenery on the way to Ramsey.
We did not get off at Laxey to visit the big wheel or to go up the mountain but if you do make sure that the weather is clear so you can see all the different countries from the top.

“Traveling on the Manx Electric Railway”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2014

Personally I was unable to travel on the electric railway as they said they had no way for me to board it. It was rather high from the platform into the carriage. My husband and son went on it and I waited for them to come back, they said it was a very good ride but definitely would not have been suitable for me. To enjoy this attraction to the full you would have to been very able bodied in the legs, would not suit anyone with physical disabilities.
