Food is good and enjoyable. Not a single complaint about the food. The room in the basement tonight is very, very cold. No heating. Draights coming through the windows. We moved tables as a result. It was still draughty. Service was very slow despite only being half full. They don't accept amex but only tell you when you present the card. Would benefit from heating and some music or a tv showing italian tv to make it more atmospheric

It is very easy to get a table here as they don't allow advance bookings, although you may have a 10-15 minute wait during busy periods. The food is simple and uncomplicated, but it is very very tasty. Their thin and crispy garlic & tomato bread is the best garlic bread I've ever tasted. My wife is a vegetarian and a chef so she can be quite difficult to please. However, she is impressed by the wide range of veggie dishes on the menu and also the standard of the food. It offers great value for money when compared with simliar restaurants on the island. A 3 course meal, excluding drinks, will cost between £18 and £25 per adult. The service is friendly, quick and attentive without being overbearing and the staff always have a laugh and a joke with our kids, aged 5 and 7. The atmosphere is often lively, even more so if there is a birthday or celebration taking place. I would say that the restaurant is more suitable for families and groups rather than those looking for a quiet, intimate atmosphere.

This restaurant does not allow you to book in advance but if you have to wait it's usually not for long. The food is great with a good choice from Pizza to Steak - All very well cooked and very tasty. The waiting staff are very friendly and if there is a birthday party there they go out of their to make it special for them. I would class this as a Family Friendly Restaurant or one for a friends meal but not a Romantic Setting.

The restaurant is downstairs in a rather echoic basement room, which is unfussily decorated with tile floors and simple bare tables. That's probably just as well, as it's a very popular place for families with small children.

The place was busy when we went there in the early evening, when the family clientele peaks. Nevertheless, the service was efficient and attentive, but the waiters were happy to joke with the kids and lead a 'happy birthday' song for a youngster who was celebrating.

I had Scollapine Saltimbocca, which was a very tasty pork fillet with Parma ham in a creamy herb sauce. My veggie sister had Aubergine Parmigiana that was equally delicious. The kids pizzas were thin, crispy and good. Absolutely great desert 'Tarta de Nonna' which was a custard tart with pine nuts.

Overall, this is a very good eating place, attractive to families with kids but still providing good Italian style food for the adults in the party. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you are looking for an intimate atmosphere, or for quiet meal with a colleague or client, as that isn't what this place is about.
