We visited the restaurant whilst staying in the hotel, we like to eat at all types of venues and do quite like the silver service atmosphere that was provided. the restaurant has a classic look without being to pompous the maitre d, was fantastic and adapted his style to suit the occasion realizing we were a modern/casual couple as many can be beyond formal. ( asking people to taste a cheap £18 bottle of wine with a screw top in my opinion is just not necessary and the more restaurants that do not apply this "unnecessary pressure" the better. and was welcomed by me and my partner. obviously on expensive fine wines for officiando's then its a necessity but all is relative!)

The food was excellent starting with an amuse bouche which is always welcomed, right the way through to the starters main and dessert's.

The only negative and reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is the stone in one of the cherries during the main course, which was apologised for upon mention.

Our waitress who cooked the stroganoff in open view was short with blonde hair and was extremely attentive and friendly.
Thanks frank and hel.

Amazing, friendly, attentive service.
Beautifully presented food, and the most amazing taste sensations. Every time we go we try something new; whether it be new flavour combinations or simply something posh that we would never buy in the weekly shop!
Bring on the amuse bouche and an excellent nights fine dining!

I went here with my sister looking for a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience and I got it! The service levels were outstanding and the food was excellent. I started with the Manx queenies, which were delicious. For the main course I had the Pork Fillet (apparently one of the most popular dishes on the menu, and I can see why). This consisted of perfectly cooked pork fillet slices wrapped in Parma ham, but perhaps the most delicious aspect was the slice of confit pork belly which just melted in the mouth.

As I have a sweet tooth, the last course now had a great deal to live up to, and it delivered. The passion fruit cannelloni was a work of art as it arrived at the table, and tasted every bit as good as it looked with an excellent balance of textures and flavours. My sister had the deconstructed lemon meringue which was also a delicious work of art. (The fact that we photographed these dishes probably says a lot too).

Along with complimentary amuse bouche (a silky smooth gazpacho) and handmade chocolate truffles with coffee, this was truly a meal to remember.

Trying to find somewhere decent on the island, gave this a go hoping it might be reasonable, as they are flouting the 2 RAC rosettes, but they must have bought them, as the service is appalling, 2 hours to be served 2 courses and even then it was with prompting, and this was on a Saturday. There was nobody managing the floor running around like headless chickens.

The food is average, the wine list is poor and all this at the islands premier hotel! Don't bother find somewhere cheaper.
