Stayed here for 2 nights and was very impressed with the accommodations. The staff go out of their way to make sure your stay is very comfortable and the breakfast was superb. The only reason I did not rate it a 5 was that I had a room in the back of the hotel and was there on a Friday and Saturday night. The noise coming from the pubs on the street behind the hotel woke me up at least 3-4 times each night. Not just muffled noise, it is very loud as people come out of the pub after a night of drinking.

I would certainly stay at this hotel again, but only in one of the front-facing (ocean view) rooms!

We cannot recommend highly enough the hotel accommodation and staff. We had the beautiful family room with a sea view. It was very comfortable with a nice seating area by the window. Lovely bathroom and very comfortable beds.

My Mother aged 94 was returning to the Isle of Man for the first time since World War 2 where she was stationed as a WREN. The staff at the hotel were very solicitous of her and us her daughters who were accompanying her of this trip.

Breakfasts and the one dinner we had at the hotel were very good. The position of the hotel was good for the town and the museum.

Incredibly comfortable and beautifully decorated room with efficient, friendly service from all the staff. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. I booked the family room (room 202) for my elderly mother, my sister and me - there was one enormous bed and two twin beds with comfortable armchairs and coffee table in the bay window with a lovely view over the Douglas promenade and seafront. A very large bathroom with walk-in shower. All very newly decorated. The supper we ate one night in the restaurant was delicious. Parking was on the street - charging starts from 8am, but the hotel gives you "parking wheel" which gives you two hours before you have to move the car at 10am. And there is a public car park just behind the hotel. Note: you have to be able to manage steps to access the hotel from the street and from the internal lift, there were six stairs to negotiate to our room so it wouldn't suit those unable to climb stairs.

Room tip: Room 202 was a large family room with a seafront view.

Fabulous very large and comfortable modern rooms, and we were lucky enough to have views over the promenade. Huge beds and large bathrooms. All staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. A wonderful and exceptional stay, and would be first choice when returning. Breakfast very good and cooked to order (no continental).

(One small point from practical perspective is the need to have plug points near mirrors for hair. Our room had a dressing table and mirror but no plug points. Another cabinet had 8 plug points around it but no mirror.)

This hotel is the best experienced here on IOM. Come regularly to visit friends and haven’t felt the need to return to the same one till now. This is an excellent find. Arrived early am and was made to feel welcome from the 1st minute. Perfect location. Staff service is outstanding , food great and bedrooms some of the best we have stayed in anywhere. Well done Harvard not easy to get everything right but you have.
