This place is particularly pricey, but so so so worth it!

My partners family (including grand parents) were coming to the island for the first time since their honeymoon so i wanted to make their experience on the island extra special. Tanrogan was our first port of call for their first evening meal, and it most definitely kicked off the extra special experience.

The food was exquisite, timely and the wine was gorgeous. To top it all off, we were the last table in the restaurant, and they made no attempt to hurry us out or anything. Absolutely amazing. Definitely coming again

The food was amazing, wonderful flavours! All beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked! Everyone was very attentive, noticing when we had finished our tap water and getting us more without us having to ask!
It's not a big restaurant, when it was full it felt a little cramped when people were trying to walk between tables, however the atmosphere was amazing!
Wonderful place, would definitely recommend it!

We booked a table for two for lunch the day before setting foot on The Isle of Man, friendly confirmation guaranteed us a table for lunch today. And my, what an unexpected delight. Arrived late and greeted and seated with effortless charm. Lovely cheerful staff. Sweet place. Time was against us, alas, but the hour spent there was the best hour spent on the island. Queenie fritters packed with succulent bi-valvular deliciousness, served with an appropriately sweetened chilli sauce and fresh salad (exceeding its garnish title); Manx crab toasters (both first timers here) ousting with taste and a certain wow factor; straight from the oven inventive rolls (seaweed and olive selected here with the local butter which was difficult not to scoop up with a spoon and guzzle on its own); twice baked chips-perfect (malt vinegar bottle nestled amongst them-nice touch) and the chef's salad: radicchio, endive, al dente green beans, samphire, fresh tarragon was bloody perfect. All washed down with an extremely agreeable 750ml of Muscadet sur Lie. Of course, it was sur lie. They know what they're doing and how well they are doing it. So wanted to stay for the cheeses and continue this epicurean enjoyment but the steam package was waiting. Off we sped; two extremely satisfied customers. Thank you Tanroagan.

This is definetly one of the better seafood restaurants I have dined in over recent years. I would recommend a visit for lunch or dinner and you wont be disappointed witht the food. Its not the biggest place but its cosey and has atmosphere. Go with an open frame of mind when your not in a hurry. There are not lots of staff so you wont get lots of unwanted attention.

I like this restaurant. I have been a few times, and I will be going again. I love fish, and I like the specials. The decor is okay, but I am only really there for the food which is consistently tasty, and generous in size.

Not the cheapest restaurant on the island, but one of the best. Wine selection is good and reasonably priced.

Food is always well presented, but at times this is not friendly to the diner. I can forgive this though and recommended it to those who love seafood.
