We stayed for one night in a room with sea view and a balcony. Everything was clean and well maintained, and breakfast in the morning was excellent. Unfortunately the bed was much too soft for our liking, and the other guests were very noisy late at night, and this woke us and our son.

We had a cracking 5 days stay in September. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and understanding of the guests needs. The bedroom (Room 6) wasn't the biggest we have ever stayed in, but it was well decorated and the bed was very comfortable, and we were only there to sleep in it, not have a party every night! Ample clothes storage space and room to hide the suitcases too.
The breakfasts were to die for! They really set you up for a busy day sightseeing! it did tend to get quite hot in the dining room, so sit by a window if you suffer in high temperatures!
The hotel was very quiet, the thick carpeting everywhere made it so - great!
The proximity to Old Shanklin was excellent as we could walk each evening to the restaurant.
We were recommended to the local theatre and the Thursday evening show "Best Of the West End" was such a good evening, the place was full and it was more like London than I.O.W. Well done.
We will be back.

Room Tip: Ask for sea view if it is important to you, but be aware there is no lift. Not really a problem as there is help available if you have heavy luggage.

Me and my boyfriend would just like to say a big thank you to the owners and all the staff at the Havelock Hotel. We have just returned from our holiday to the isle of wight and couldn't have asked for a better location, The hotel is just a 5 minute walk to the Old Shanklin village and main town. The Double room we stayed in was very Modern and cleaned to a high standard daily. The breakfast Menu was great, we very much enjoyed helping ourselves to the fresh fruits and cereal, we did have a cooked breakfast on one occasion which again was cooked to a very high standard. When we return to the isle of wight in the future we will definitely stay here again.

Thought it was time to say how much we enjoy The Havelock. We stumbled on the hotel in an emergency some years ago and now never look for anywhere else when visiting the I.o.W. Dave and Ann are very welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts are great. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The public lounge and small bar is a very relaxing room with no television where you can relax, read, play games and chat with other guest and Dave & Ann in the evening over a nightcap. In the summer the spacious pool is a real asset for a swim or just to sit in the sun and enjoy a snack. The staff are all friendly and helpful and many have been with the hotel for a long time so are knowledgeable and do a fine job.

Recently stayed at the Havelock for a weekend break. The owners were very helpful - with our ferry bookings and a change of dates due to illness. They provided friendly service throughout our stay.
The hotel was clean and pleasant - rooms had all the essentials - tea making service, hairdryer, complimentary bath/shower products etc. Good views over the front garden and could just see the sea (hotel based one street back from the sea). Breakfast was very good with a wide selection from full english and a breakfast buffet selection of cereals, fruit, croissants etc.
Good value for the money and would stay again
