End of Oct 2012, Great place, long beach and very natural with big waves. Sam from C2C Surf schools is very good instructor and a very nice guy. Offers 2-3 hours lesson including 5 mm winter wetsuit and beginners board at a very reasonable price. There were 6 of us and all managed to catch a wave by the end of the lesson. If you listing to him and do what he say you'll be surfing in no time .

A beautiful, white sanded beach - normally very quiet and lots of stunning views! Lots of parking and places to sit too...brilliant.

Part of the John Muir Park, Belhaven beach is extensive. The sand is used for the usual activities, pls there is a significant number if horse riders and kite fliers. There is a fair amount of surf off the North sea, crashing onto the miles of golden sand, and this attracts kayakers and windsurfersplus canoeists.
When the tide is in there is an unusual bridge which has both approaches underwater. Only as the tide recedes does one see that there is a small river flowing under it, and the bridge allows you to cross relatively dryshod.

The beach here is one of the best I have been to. Surfers use the beach as it can be great when the sea is wild! some stunning scenery here and a good walk along the cliff top from Dunbar.

We're regular visitors to Belhaven Beach with our two dogs, and the word most apt to describe Belhaven is 'Glorious'. It is the cleanest beach we've ever seen, and we love that it's quiet, and not packed with tourists. We've met a lot of fellow dog lovers at Belhaven, who have since become friends. At the risk of sounding poetic, each time we've visited Belhaven Beach, it's brought out the feeling of 'being glad to be alive'-this feeling is priceless.
