I love this place and go on a regular basis to eat. We had our work Christmas night out here and the menu was to die for! Excellent food and lovely atmosphere

“good food, children welcome”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

... they told us to ask for children, as sometimes pubs like that don't accept them. Not only they do accept them, but they are very well organized, with several baby seats and toys for all ages. good food, great beer (the Belhaven brewery is a few hundred meters away), we really enjoied the time we spent there

“Great beer, meal and atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2012

Went in a group of four adults and four kids for dinner on Thursday evening, with a few beers in the bar before hand. Great atmosphere both in the bar and upstairs restaurant ,very warm welcome, food and beer excellent the proof being eight clear plates ( and a few empty beer glasses )at the end of the meal . Would not hesitate to recommend this bar for either a beer or a meal....marvelous !

“A fantastic pub”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2012

I didn't take the opportunity of dining here, so my review is solely about the place as a pub - and what a great pub it is. It is a good, old-fashioned bar that has a wonderfully cosy atmosphere. There is a good selection of beers on tap and the staff and punters are friendly and welcoming.

What more could you ask?

“Cosy atmosphere and great value for money food.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 28, 2012

Took our 3 young kids here for an early dinner. Great choice on menu for children and staff willing to even offer smaller portions of adult sized dishes that weren't on kids menu. Good service, cosy atmosphere and although we were upstairs in restaurant it was lovely to hear the Friday evening buzz of the bar downstairs. Kids loved it, we enjoyed it and will certainly be back as you could not fault the excellent prices.
