If ever there was an argument for spending that little bit more on a B&B, this is it. We arrived on a rainy day, but any clouds over our heads were soon blown away by the quality of the suite of rooms(!) we were shown into.

The main bedroom was faultlessly decorated, and looked to have a number of pieces of quality antique furniture. The bathroom was large and had a very deep roll top bath which was quickly filled with hot water to ignore the rain outside. The list of useful information and dinner venues was comprehensive. We were given tea and cake on arrival, with fresh milk.

The owners are a young couple, very much throwing themselves into this business and it shows in every aspect of your stay, a visitor's book bursting at the seams with positive comments from all over the world, the breakfast was superb, as was the room in which it was eaten, and we were able to take an umbrella to shield us from the weather as we went out for dinner. Would not hesitate to stay again.

I had a 2 night stay here, the first with one of my bridesmaids, my other bridesmaid joined us the next day and we prepared for my wedding there. The second night my new husband joined me. The owners were very friendly and so helpful, flexible with dietary requirements, providing a ice bucket and champagne flutes, allowing us to leave our wedding outfits there to be collected later. The whole hotel is stunning, beautifully decorated with original georgian features and very clean. The rooms are spacious and feel very private as none join another directly. Food was lovely, fresh and well presented. A fantastic place to stay.

Rachel and David are the most welcoming hosts with tea/coffee and cake on arrival. Both bedroom and bathroom were excellent, certaily larger than normal. Directions to an exellent restaurant for an evening meal were provided and we were not dissapointed. A most welcome breakfast including fresh fruit as a starter followed by a full breakfast including haggis and black pudding if requested. I could not fault it at all apart from the lack of a tea spoon to stir my moring coffee in the room, and that's being really pickie!!. WOULD I GO BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN, CERTAINLY 'YES' , AND I WILL.
I look forward to meeting with David and Rachael again.

Stayed at One West Road in May 2011 with a group of friends on a golfing holiday. The accomodation was excellent and the service second to none. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable and furnished to a high standard.
The hosts made us feel very welcome, they were extremely professional and friendly.

It's refereshing in this day and age to get such a high standard of hospitality and to find such quality accomodation at an affordable price.

I will most definitely be going back, and have already recommended this accomodation to friends, family and colleagues and will continue to do so.

We travelled up from Yorkshire for the Spring Bank Weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. One West Road certainly is a luxury bed and breakfast accomodation! We would definately recommend it to all our friends and plan to visit again in the very near future.

The property has lots of georgian charm and stands in lovely grounds within a three or four minute walk of the little market town of Haddington which is a treasure in itself.

The rooms were very well appointed. We stopped in the 'Luffness' room and our friends were in the 'Muirfield'. The furnishings were stylish and comfortable and both bathrooms were 'up to the minute' rivalling some quality hotels we have stopped in. The bed in our room was the most comfortable I have ever slept in.

The owners Rachel & David are a lovely couple and went the 'extra mile' to make us feel welcome. Coffee and cakes were provided upon arrival and served in the cosy lounge which we felt was a nice touch. When we needed some information on the availability of the Park & Ride into Edinburgh, David found all the details for us,which made our day out into Edinburgh run smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble.

Breakfast was excellent. There was something for everyone. There was lots of fresh fruit, yogurt and cereal to start with (the loganberries were enormous!) choice of the full Scottish breakfast with the usual bacon and eggs plus haggis and black pudding, or delicious scambled eggs with Loch Fyne smoked salmon, orange juice, warm croissants, coffee tea, toast etc. Our friends who are both vegetarians really enjoyed the mushrooms, scrambled eggs and tomatoes. Everything was served in the seperate dining room which was also beautifully furnished.

You will certainly not be dissapointed with One West Road. We had a truly relaxing break and cannot wait until we go again. It is a real gem.

Stayed here for 2 nights and what a wonderful B & B. This is no ordinary B & B, it is a very elegant, large detached Georgian property superbly renovated with modern fixtures and fittings whilst retaining the period features. David and Rachel were excellent hosts and I would definitely recommend this luxury B & B especially if you are visiting Lennoxlove House and Edinburgh.

We arrived mid afternoon and greeted by David who carried our case from the car. He showed us into the guest lounge which was so cozy - lovely large lounge with a real log fire which was lit late afternoon and evening - wonderful. Fresh coffee and biscuits were brought in on a tray to welcome us.

Our room (Luftness) was fabulous - very clean, large, luxurious with a flat screen TV, tea/coffee/biscuits, huge bed which was the comfiest bed I have slept in, and the bathroom which had a large walk in shower and underfloor heating. Luxury toiletries were also provided together with large white fluffy towels and bathrobes.

Breakfast was another delight - fresh fruit/cereals/porridge/full scottish breakfast all cooked superbly by David, I believe.

The B & B is situated in Haddington and is an easy walk into the centre where there are a number of restaurants to choose from. It is also only about a 10 minute car journey to Lennoxlove House so very convenient if you are there for a wedding/birthday celebration.

In summary, don't look anywhere else - this is a wonderful place to stay (and I am very choosy!!)

We stayed two nights in Sept for a wedding at Lennoxlove House. It was booked for us by the bride - we were not disappointed. The house is old but refurbished. Rooms large and grand - bedroom are generous and with modern bathrooms. The hosts were lovely and breakfast was delicious. The highest standards were maintained at all times - even when Rachael was taken into hospital in the night to have her baby! The mothers stepped in, sorted the breakfasts and kept us all sweet. Short walk to the town, 10mins to Lennoxlove by cab.
