“The Pub in the Garden”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

A very friendly and popular pub within the grounds of the Culloden Estate & Spa. A more relaxed and casual environment for a meal and a drink. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

“Lovely welcoming staff and large open fire on this winter's day.”
Reviewed January 6, 2013 via mobile

We ( 4 adults and 3 children ) were warmly welcomed by the attentive friendly staff. We enjoyed a well laid out and very fresh looking carvery and there was plenty of choice to suit all our individual tastes. Very reasonably priced. We then moved through to the lounge to have a drink by another warm open fire. Very homely, lovely afternoon.

“Lost booking”
Reviewed December 27, 2012 via mobile

Arrived at one pm for boxing day lunch at the cultra inn to find there was no record of our booking. The girl in charge was clearly furious with whoever had made the mistake but quickly gathered herself and got us a table - there were plenty available! Fantastic choice of hot and cold starters including prawns, chicken, salads, melon, soup, crayfish, salmon, mackerel, breads... only 3 roasts though for main course - but they were really good. So many desserts it was hard to choose and they were delicious, coffee to follow but no mints :( £30 per person, good value. We retired to the culloden for coffee and cocktails, warm and festive atmosphere despite the heavy rain outside. Would recommend

“Good Location, Relaxed Atmosphere & Varied Menu - *A Bit On The Pricey Side*”
Reviewed December 20, 2012

Hi,

Having been to this venue in the past it was decided to make a return visit as a small party of Colleagues with Clients for a Christmas lunch.

Appox 15mins from the city centre, the Cultra Inn is well located on the main A2 Belfast to Bangor Road with ample parking within its own grounds. Quite roomy and capable of hosting larger groups

We were greeted by a very large open fire, always a good welcome on a cold Nov day. Making choices from both the set Christmas menu & the normal we began. Although all the selections were tasty and well presented I find the pricing a little on the high side, WITHOUT any alcohol it worked out at just under £40pp for 3 courses and soft drinks, the usual catch being that steaks etc do not come with side orders which have to be added bumping up the price. Though I must say that the fillet steak comes served on a wooden chopping board, looks and tastes the part, with a full roasted garlic bulb on the side, yum!

Staff appeared to be well trained and all meals arriving at good time intervals with a ‘no rush’ atmosphere.

Perhaps an ideal choice of restaurant if you intend to impress or on a special occasion, not really good value for money otherwise.

Still well worth a try!

“Sunday Carvary”
Reviewed December 12, 2012

Usual 3 course Sunday Carvary, with a selection of starters, mains and desserts. Starters and desserts were fine, however mains were cool and had to be taken back to be warmed in the microwave.

Not what we have come to excpect from the restaurant which we have visited regularly amnd which shares the same owners and grounds as the 5 Star Culloden Hotel.
