Having been to this venue in the past it was decided to make a return visit as a small party of Colleagues with Clients for a Christmas lunch.
Appox 15mins from the city centre, the Cultra Inn is well located on the main A2 Belfast to Bangor Road with ample parking within its own grounds. Quite roomy and capable of hosting larger groups
We were greeted by a very large open fire, always a good welcome on a cold Nov day. Making choices from both the set Christmas menu & the normal we began. Although all the selections were tasty and well presented I find the pricing a little on the high side, WITHOUT any alcohol it worked out at just under £40pp for 3 courses and soft drinks, the usual catch being that steaks etc do not come with side orders which have to be added bumping up the price. Though I must say that the fillet steak comes served on a wooden chopping board, looks and tastes the part, with a full roasted garlic bulb on the side, yum!
Staff appeared to be well trained and all meals arriving at good time intervals with a ‘no rush’ atmosphere.
Perhaps an ideal choice of restaurant if you intend to impress or on a special occasion, not really good value for money otherwise.
Still well worth a try!
