“Culloden Estate & Spa is a gem!”
Reviewed May 9, 2013

I recently visited Culloden Estate & Spa with my wife as part of a tour group and stayed two nights. The facility itself is stunning and well maintained. The grounds are spectacular. The food we had both down the hill at the pub and at the Mitre was outstanding. And the service we received was fantastic. We had a problem hooking up our iPhone to their internet WiFi connection and the desk help came right up to our room in just a few minutes and fixed the issue. The front desk staff is friendly, courteous, and competent.

We had vouchers for a two night stay in this truly wonderful hotel. From our arrival we were treated like royalty by all the staff who were efficient, friendly and helpful. The food in the Mitre restaurant was delicious and our waitresses were so attentive - nothing was too much trouble. We had sandwiches and coffee in the Crozier lounge for lunch and once again were 'looked after' by a very friendly and helpful young waiter. This was our second visit to the Culloden but I hope it won't be our last.

We recently attended a family wedding at the Culloden and would say that it was excellent. We had a lovely meal and the Stuart Suite was very good and the view from the dinning room was spectacular. The staff were very attentive and our glasses were never empty

I was very fortunate to be given a lovely brithday present for Spa treatments and overnight stay.

I had attended weddings and other functions at the hotel before, but had never had the opportunity to use the Spa, or even stay overnight.

Upon arrival to the Spa we were greeted warmly, A lunch was being provided as part of the package, good selection on the menu. It was delicious.

After lunch onto the Spa.

The reatments were superb, so relaxing, products excellent and the therapist very professional. Would recommend this to release the stress of a very busy life! It worked wonders for me.

All the hotel staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, hotel and surroundings simply wonderful.

A truly delightful experience, our room was amazing, bed so comfortable.

Would love to do this again.

All of the staff were really friendly and helpful, small requests like a specific table or fresh eggs at breakfast were absolutely no problem even though they were really busy. We stayed on a dbb package and the food in the Mitre restaurant was first class, with no supplements for steak etc. Breakfast also really good and varied. Lovely views over the loch from the window tables.

Only slight reservation is that the spa feels a little dated, and the décor is conservative but a very nice hotel regardless. Great access to Belfast too via the train station at the bottom of the hill - almost in the hotel.

Just got back from a long weekend in Belfast. We stayed at the stunning Culloden Estate & Spa - it was 5 star all the way. The public areas were beautiful, from the period features, thwe exquisite furnishings and new extension which was so sympathetically done and all surrounded by stunning gardens. We couldn't fault the place, the staff were friendly, cheerful and so very helpful. The food lovely, you have the choice of fine dining or a traditional pub setting in the grounds called Cultra Inn. We didn't use the spa not doubt it was lovely. We felt it was excellent value for money and would definitely recommend a trip to Belfast to our friends and a must would be to stay at the Culloden.

I thought spending this much money I was gonna be a queen for the day the only grand thing about this place is the dent it leaves on your purse the concierge that meets you at the door makes it feels like its gonna be great it's all down hill after that !! The place has a musty smell about it reminds me of visiting my old granny's house. The bedrooms were big but so plain and old furniture makes it look like a nursing home.
The drinks are ridiculously priced and the seem to care more about the posh snooty regulars than the new customers it's set back in an old era it needs a boost to come to something past 1920's this does not reflect its star tasting if you want a lovely five star in Belfast try the merchant better value for money and staff are much nicer !
