Just wonderful. We spent all day here and really enjoyed it. I am surprised because it was just us as a couple, no kids but the whole experience was like going back in time for the day.

We have been here numerous times and still find it so interesting and there's always so much to see both in the folk and in the transport section. On a weather friendly day the walk around the folk park is second to none. It is also very reasonably priced so good value for families

Visited the folk part of the museum today and had a great day. Was £7.50 for either or £9 for the two but u would need a full day.
From the minute we walked in it felt so real set in a little village.
You are able to go inside the houses and theres abit of info about it inside.
There is staff dressed up in some of the buildings and they make it feel abit more real
My favourite was the old rectory and the lady there today (13/10) was very nice and informative.
Would definitley go back again and would be happy to recommend. Im not usually one for reviewing unless its a hotel.but was so impressed i thought i would take the time to review!

I had been to this museum many years ago but couldn't remember much about it. So when my friend was over visiting from England, we decided to spend an afternoon at the Folk section of the museum and we weren't disappointed.
We followed the map around and we felt like we were a part of the life represented by the town. Though a lot of walking is required we hardly noticed because there was so much to see.
It was great to see various staff members in costume as it added to the experience.
It was great being able to walk into the open buildings and being able to have a good look around at everything in each exhibition.
We purchased sweets from the traditional sweet shop and we also used the tearoom situated in the town area.
My advice to anyone wishing to make this visit, give yourself enough time to enjoy it fully. The folk section took us 3.5 hours.
We enjoyed the experience and are hoping to do the Transportation section soon.

A great museum, there was so few people there the day we went that it felt as though we had the place to ourselves. There are other people visiting of course but it was very quiet and parking is easy. The exhibits are very good and it is great to see the contribution that Ireland has made to planes, trains and automobiles. A very enjoyable and enjoyable day out.
