Description: We are not just an ordinary Nepalese or Indian restaurant. Founded in 2004 as a take-away in Market Street, Torquay, we were the very first Nepalese Cuisine Speacialist in the whole of Torbay or Devon. We have grown from a single small takeaway to a big licensed restaurant. We serve stylish, high quality, great value Nepalese and Indian Cuisine, as well as outstanding quality food, responsibly sourced from around 7 suppliers nationally. Since the closure of our takeaway in market street, I've seen number of so called Nepalese Restaurant opened around the bay but we can guarantee you none of them is traditional nepalese like ours. We are a family run business where my dad is the headchef, my uncle is the second chef, my mum is the customer host and im the waiter/manager. Now thats a proper family business. We look forward to seeing you and serving you mouth watering momo (my personal fav).

We were in a group visiting the town,,popped in,it was a warm welcoming, service was quite prompt, food was excellent,it was fantastic, quite reasonable price. If you are visiting Paignton and love Indian Nepalese food, this is the place you must choose. It is quite close to train station.
we won't go any other place to eat if we visit this town again.

Been past this place a few times in the past but never checked it out, so this time after reading the reviews which where very positive we decided to try it out, well we were not disappointed at all, the staff were very friendly and helpful, very quick service and helpful with the menu, it may not look much from outside but inside its the Jewel in the crown cosy and comfortable and the food was excellent, so don't judge a book by its cover and go in you won't be disappointed. We will go back next time we are in this area, thank you to all the staff for an excellent meal and service.

A great menu, including goat, although I had chicken. Started with a sinky kebab of chicken, very tasty and freshly cooked chicken. For main I had Nepalese chicken, lemon rice with a side of mushroom. The only disappointment was the white wine we tried, neither were good enough to drink (too old), so we had to go back to the draft lager.

Friendly and hepful staff and an attractive cosy environment, though slightly grubby around the edges. The team did their best to fit diners in, even at busy times.

Food tasty and plentiful, though it would have been good if a few more vegetables had been included. The amount of sauce in the curry dishes seemed to me a little over-done.

Overall, a good environment with well-prepared food.

The actual building is a bit on the shabby side but the food and service couldn't be faulted. The dishes were all so fresh and served piping hot. The vegetables dishes used fresh veg which is such a refreshing change as so many Indian restaurants use frozen veg . The portions were generous and beautifully flavoured. The gentleman at front of house was welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. The chef/owner also came to ask for feedback on the food. Worth making a journey from Newton Abbot.
