The service from every member of staff was exceptional, very friendly and helpful. The room was immaculate and decorated to a high standard. The location of the hotel was in a quiet area. The dining room and bar were excellent with sea views and the food was out of this world. Now we found this hotel we would not stay anywhere else, expect to see us again very soon. Overall our stay was highly enjoyable and they were most accomodating to us. Highly, highly recommend this hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel 6 or 7 times now. My husband was born in Paignton and likes to go back every now and then to see his old haunts.
This is a really friendly hotel, rooms are very well equiped with fantastic power shower, comfy beds and are spotlessly clean.
The breakfasts are really lovely, nicely presented and very tasty. As I dont eat fry ups I really enjoyed the Mexican version.
We have eaten there in the evenings also and the food was superb,
The family running the hotel are friendly and welcoming and we will return as soon as we can

We stayed here recently for six nights, everything was spot on, the room was very nice with a big kingsize comfy bed, the bathroom had a really good power shower.
Breakfast was great, we tried the mexican version one morning, there was a lot of it, and one might have been better to share, but it was excellent.
We got a lot of quality time here, in peaceful surroundings, and really enjoyed it.
Because we couldnt be bothered searching for restaurants in Paignton, for two evenings we ate in the restaurant here, it was well worth it, the food was good, the chef made what was probably the best roast potatoes i had tasted in years.
If we came back to Paignton, i would definitely stay here again

I travelled with 2 ladies with learning disabilities one of them in a wheelchair. On arriving at the hotel we were greeted with a warm welcome and showed the rooms which were quite adequate. 23 had enough room to accomadate a wheelchair and had an walk in shower with grab rails etc. It was a bit tricky getting the chair to the room as the hallways were quite narrow but with a little practice we soon got the hang. Room 24 had a bath with shower over. Both rooms were well furnished, clean with plenty of storage.

The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. As one of the ladies had special dietary needs we were a bit anxious but our fears were soon dispelled. Food was prepared as required and was delicous.

The hotel is situated in a very hilly area and it was hard work with a wheelchair but if you have transport it isnt a problem.

Had a great stay and both of our ladies thouroughly enjoyed themselves

We stayed for a week in September having found it via the local tourist information website. The hotel was an excellent find and our stay was very enjoyable. The hotel is situated in a quiet but hilly area of Paignton over looking the bay and is ideal if you are looking for a peaceful location. It is however just a short walk and pleasant walk through a park from beach at Goodrington Sands where you can find everything you expect from a seaside beach and also a large water park. By the beach there is a Brewers Fayre family pub / restaurant which is good if you are not staying half board in hotel. A slightly longer walk takes you into the main town centre and harbour area.

The hotel is family run (a brother, his sister, her Mexican husband and their children) all of whom were very friendly and most helpful The husband does the cooking so there is a Mexican twist to the breakfast menu with a spicy egg and tortilla dish along side the usual full English breakfasts. The breakfasts (both English and Mexican) were excellent.

The main bar and restaurant area has an outside balcony where if the weather is good you can sit and admire the views and large picture windows for when it isn’t.

We were initially in one of the family rooms (room 5). This was a lovely spacious room with both a double and single bed, a seating area and sufficient room for a travel cot. The bay windows had good sea views across the bay to Brixham. We enjoyed the stay so much we decided to extend for an extra night but had to be moved to another room. This room (31) was smaller but was still pleasantly furnished and large enough for both single and double bed. The only main criticism of this room was it had an old fashioned shower and the water pressure was very poor although we were told it was soon going to be renovated and a power shower install there had been in the previous room. Both rooms were clean and well maintained.

Difficult to find any major criticisms (expect the shower mentioned earlier) but visitors should be aware that the main car park is very tight and could be difficult to negotiate at times (although we were lucky during our stay that it was empty most of the time). There is however another overspill car park up the hill which is larger. The hotel lift also only really serves the rooms in the newer extension and rooms in the older main part of the hotel are accessed via stairs.
