I knew when we received what turned out to be "spot on " directions from Exeter to the hotel, that Jose would look after us.On arrival we were shown to our room, given the key, told combinationto front door and left to settle in.The room was ideal for us,very big, kingsize bed and en suite with walk in shower, perfect for me as i am disabled ,and with plenty of furniture we were able to store our clothes.Breakfast was served by debbie efficientiy and in a professional ,but friendly manor. It took us an hour befor we could move then we are out for the day.Night time was spent in a well stocked bar, lacking pumps for men who like draught beers, but the staff did pour well from cans from fridge. At thye end of the week we paid our bill that was prepared before hand and we said our goodbyes to Jose, Debbie and family who wished us a safe journey home.We thanked them for good clean accommodation, hospitality, excellant cousine and would book again.Chris and Janet. We like to spend our summer holiday here because we know we are made very welcome by this lovely family, they simply cannot do enough for us to make our stay very enjoyable. The rooms are spacious, very clean, & comfortable, the food is excellent & the location is ideal. We return home fully relaxed and knowing we,ve had a great holiday.Cannot wait to return again.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!

Room Tip: Rooms with a balcony are very pleasant on the shady side of the hotel.

I stayed for a month and I wish I could´ve stayed for more. The hotel has everything you need and you can use a fitness center that´s really close just by staying in the hotel. The place is beautiful, comfortable, cosy, elegant. The food is AMAZING! And the people are great hosts; when you first get there you are welcomed by the most polite people ever and by the time you leave the place you feel they are all your friends. I recommend this place if you are going anywhere near Devon, and if you are not; it is worth making a small deviation in your trip, you´ll love the Bay and you´ll love the Summerhill Hotel!

Room Tip: Just tell them what you need and let them chose for you, they know best. FYI it is worth spending a bit more money for a better room.
