“great beach for a walk but the dogs spoil it”

It was slightly dull and overcast but we like it like that as there are hardly any dog walkers. The sun then came out and so did the dogs! they are not on leads and come charging up to you and can jump up if you're not careful , the owners are far away and don't control them. It's a long beach and it just ends up with little children in the rock pools and dogs tearing up and down. In the summer dogs aren't allowed but then it's swarming with sun bathers. Its nice to stop off at the pub after a stroll and the rock walk, close by is a nice stroll too over to Roundham Head and Paignton Harbour. If you like dogs you will be ok.

This is my favourite beach in the whole of Britain. The beach is divided into two areas; a north and a south beach. The south beach tends to be busier. On the north beach, there is an extremely friendly ice cream seller at the base of the cliff path. Beach huts can be hired by the week or for the summer season at fairly reasonable rates. Goodrington Park has some rides for younger children. There is a family-friendly restaurant on the seafront too. The water amusement park is excellent but expensive; as is the parking.

If you have never visit, please do so.
