“Well, it was good at the time...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2013

The meal I had was great! A friend didn't get what she ordered but it was still good. Yet again, it's under 'new management'. This seems to happen quite regularly. New management usually also means new chef so, I'm afraid, you'll have to try for yourself...

“Not as Good as it used to be”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2013

We used to come to the Parkers Arms quite often but havnt been back since the previous gaffer and chef got banged up for rape. Thought we would give it a go, nice welcome and order for drinks taken and delivered quite smartly, place very quiet with one other table of 5 people, seemed to take a while before order for food was taken and not too impressed as he didnt know that curries were advertised on the specials board, not to good as it turns out the person waiting on was the gaffer.
The wait for the food to come was far far too long but it arrived eventually. The mixed grills are advertised with mushrooms, onion rings and two eggs but arrived without the first two and only one egg. He returned with other parts of the order and a small plate with one lot of rings and mushrooms and on his third visit a portion for the other grill but no word of explanation and no second egg, another meal, a burger was listed as having sliced mushrooms in it had none. Two of the meals advertised as coming with 'veg' arrived with only peas a veg admittidly but when a menue says veg one normally gets a selection of two or three, say carrots peas and cauliflower peas are normally listed as peas an order of garlic bread to arrive with the meal arrived didnt turn up till at least half way through the meal.
The food to be fair tasted fine but the delivery of the mixed grill by installments, the missing items the lack of veg ment a return is very unlikly

“Pleasant staff, tasty carvery”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2013

We have eaten Sunday carvery here before and the standard is still good, with lots of choice of veg, all hot. The choice of meat today was Beef, Gammon or Turkey. Plenty of sauces - Cranberry, Horseradish Cumberland etc. I think there may have been a change of management and it was nice to be welcomed in such a cheery manner. This is an improvement to the worried-looking face that has previously greeted us. Well done to the Parkers.
