“Lovely place but.....”
Reviewed June 16, 2013 via mobile

Great place to stay in a nice area and surroundings. Bit of a walk to the local beach which is fine although if you have a wheelchair or pram which we did the suggested trail is inaccessable. Some nice reatuarants close by paignton and Torquay aren't far also. The bar is very expensive whilst expected it is more than other parks we have been to. The bar shuts at 11 which when you are away seems a bit silly. We are not big drinkers by any means but it just killsthe night when at other parks we have been enjoying entertainment until 12 then just music till around 1. The entertainment team aren't the best they seem to talk rather than sing. Facilities on site are great. Except the bouncers. What a waste of money employing these to ask "can I see your passes" I hated this it just seemed stupid to me. That's just my opinion though. I would recommend this resort it was just a bit of a let down for us which were expecting more from past experience.

just got back from a most fantastic week at this camp site!! have to say thou we were blessed with a week of sunshine :-) which made our time at this site even more wonderful
our caravan was fab and only a basic one but still had all the mod cons including heating in all rooms and unlimited hot-water and a power shower! beds were comfy too. caravan was again spotless on arrival and as always you get a very nice little welcome pack coffee tea sugar loo roll just what you need after a long trip down.
as the weather was so good we got to spend lots of time at the outside pool which made us fee like we were abroad.
the in-house entertainment was pretty good kylie tribute and even the bloke that sings on strictly come dancing!
the kids again loved the childrens disco and both LOVED sammy sea horse still singing the songs now!

Room Tip: it is on a hilly site so is a bit hard going on little legs!! we booked a bronze caravan A which m...

Giving this site anything less than full marks would be hypocritical givin this is our umpteenth visit!!!

Site and surrounding area has everything you need to cover both sunny and (typically) rainy days. Indoor pool with flume, outdoor pool, park, indoor play area, bowling. Staff were amazing, special mention for Jacki out of admin who dealt with our pre-arrival queries swiftly and satisfactory - thank you. Resteraunt, bar, take away all very pleasant with spectacular views (although a tad pricey for takeaway and drinks!!) first time booking directly with site, caravan was top notch.

Surrounding area:- goodrington has wonderful beach, arcade, pub with food (and at 2 for £10 on meals cracking value !!!). Paignton has excellent Park on the seafront and crabbing in brixham is a fun, cheap pastime for all the family !!!!!! Paignton zoo 5 min drive - morrisons right next door is worth noting if its your first time on this neck of the woods.

A co-op and a selection of takeaway 5-10 mon walk from site (Allan's Chinese is our personal fave).

Anyway, if you've booked you'll enjoy it, and if you've not, then do it now !!! (We stayed at Beverley park and waterside, both in the surrounding area,a couple of years back- they're not a patch on this site)

Can't find a fault with this park. Stayed in a Bronze caravan from a The Sun deal. Bronze usually means grotty but it was spotlessly clean, modern with good kitchen equipment and a comfy bed. The park has brilliant facilites, two clean pools too, indoor and out. Didn't bother with the entertainment, our little on is in bed by 1930 so can't comment upon that.
Staff were always helpful and polite.
Paighton and Torquay were pretty grim, not our cup of tea at all but fortunately this park was so good that didn't spoil our holiday

Been going to hoburn torbay for many years and still love it. Cant comment on hoburns caravans as we go privet with H&H caravans. The site has everything for kids, staff are very friendly and over the years we have become good friends. The pools are lovely and clean, brilliant entertainment for kids and adults and always made to feel welcome.
