Booked caravan privately ( site F33 ) not too far from main buildings but still quiet. Thank you Kim Potter for a bueatifully kept caravan. The site was very clean and tidy. The jewel in their crown was the entire staff's attitude to the visitor. From the cleaners through to the reception and entertainment staff nothing was too much trouble. Our 4 year old grandson thoroghly enjoyed Sammy and his crew of young entertainers, which reminded me of the old days at other holiday parks before kids were told not to do this or that. There was plenty to do even at this time of year and the indoor pool complex was put to full use.Would definately recommend Holbounes as a family friendly location.

we went here with a new born baby last year we paid over £700 to stay in a carvan for a week we picked the best having a new baby, when we got there we turned on the heating, it kept going off leaving us freezing, i had a shower and i was left with shampoo in my hair as the hot water ran out, we was told that it was the boilers fault as it wasnt very big, so a caravan for a family of 6 yet only one person can have half a shower is not good enough for £700 for a week after 3 days we left we couldnt stick the cold and not being able to all have a wash, staff were not at all helpful about it, i wrote to head office who were even more useless, the children were so upset having to go home,. the place is also very steep and nothing but hills useless with a pram, i would reccomend to anyone at all, oh yes and the view was of aload of diggers and workmen so noise all day, the worse place we ever been to and we wont be returning

Room Tip: go somewhere else shaldon is nice

To be honest, a year ago, I hadn't even heard of Hoburne holidays, but we came across the Cotswolds site on a Sun holiday, and loved it, so this time, I actively sought out a Hoburne park, and we ended up in Torbay.
The park was easy enough to find with the satnav. The reception staff were friendly. The caravan was caravanny. Seriously, what do some people expect? Yes, it was small, and yes, it was cold, but it was a caravan! It served it's purpose beautifully, as somewhere to store our stuff and somewhere to get our heads down. It was clean, it was function. Job done.
The site had a little shop, for essentials and holiday tat. We didn't watch the evening entertainment, so I can't pass comment, but we did use the pool, the arcade and the mini golf course. The pool was great. My 14 and 10 year old children love the flume, and whilst the pool isn't really deep enough to be doing lengths, it is warm enough to bob around and supervise your children. The arcade was a standard issue arcade. We blew a heck of a lot of 2p's in the 2p machines, played air hockey and pool, and assorted sit on racing games. The mini golf really needs a lick of paint, but that doesn't stop it being mini golf.
I was a little disappointed at how far from the beach it is, especially given that there's a sign declaring a designated beach walk. We did it once, got lost, didn't do it again. But if you drive down to it, it's lovely: Swan boats on a pond, multi coloured beach huts, and a brewers fayre pub with an all you can eat breakfast menu.
All in all, I definitely recommend Hoburne holidays :)

we stayed here for one week leading up to easter, i have stayed at many holiday parks through my life and i have to say that Hoburne Torbay was one of the cleanest parks i have stayed at. We only had breakfast in the restaurant but that was very nice and lots of it the staff couldn't do enough for you to ensure you were happy with everything. The caravan was very nice we stayed in a gold one everything you could possibly want in there and spotlessly clean, there was even complimentry tea/coffee and sugar/powder milk which i thought was a nice thought. There was always something going on in the venue in the morning/afternoon and evening the entertainment staff work very hard and put a lot of hours in to entertain you they are the ones that make your holiday they always have a smile and nothing is too much trouble. we only found one thing we didn't like and that was last orders at 10.45 bar closed at 11pm on the dot and shutters came down and the staff wanted you out as soon as possible most places like you to be out by midnight. Would most certainly go back again this year because we love the area. So well done to all the staff at Hoburne Torbay and keep up the good work.
